Bread eaten with the Passover was not leavened as the bread that Israel ate when leaving Egypt did not have time to rise (cfExodus 12:34). From day 14 to day 21 of the first month Israel was expected to eat unleavened bread

JONAH PROPHECY

But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (Matthew 12:39-40 KJV)

TIME IS COME

When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness. (Luke 22:53 KJV)

Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. (John 19:11 KJV)

PASSOVER

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:7-8 KJV)

FIRST FRUITS

But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. (1 Corinthians 15:23 KJV)

These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. (Revelation 14:4 KJV)

IN HEAVEN

Hebrews, an epistle written by Paul, clearly explains that the new covenant also has a sanctuary. This sanctuary needed also to be inaugurated. The inauguration ceremony of Leviticus 8 and Numbers 7 has its antitype in heaven.
