Due to the amount of members we have we need to sell more to qualify for an award. Our membership is looking good but we need to continue to push if we want to make star council and Pete Fife has done a great job and I applaud him for his efforts as well as the many that have helped out at membership drives this year but as you know we are losing a service parish as they have closed St. John Neuman so we will drop to representing 4 parishes now. The council had a nice turnout for the Wounded Warrior Project Annual Fund Raiser Dinner at the Staten where we presented our own PGK William Caputo who was the MC for the evening with a check for 1000.00 dollars. We also had our annual Joe Pompa Day at the Races on June 16 th and though turnout was smaller than usual I am told that all had a great time so mark that down for next year. We will have the annual Travis 4 th of July parade meeting at showplace at about 11am and are hoping for a strong turnout. We also have the Staten Island Yankee Game where we booked a luxury sweet and the new corrected price is 35.00 per ticket and will have fireworks after the game. We have about 13 tickets still available and can get a second suite if needed. On July 8 th we will help out at the Boat Ride for God’s special children and details are in the bulletin and Steak and Cigar night on July 14 th . Dear Brother Knights, Sister Columbiettes, Families and

Friends,

As I write this message we are now in summer and I have

started my second year as your Grand Knight and had a

chance to look back on the past year and see what has been

done and where we stand today. We say goodbye to Ed

Newborn as our Financial Secretary but are proud to see him

as the new State Warden. Jerry Scotti will move into the new

FS role and Jim Mavricos will step in as the new treasurer. I

want to thank you all for voting current board of officers and

guards back in for a second term and truly do appreciate

your support. We do have a lot of work still ahead of us and

now we are in District 40 and Joe Muller is officially our

District Deputy. By now you all should have received your

chance books for the C&B and I would like to push for a

record breaking year so please get those books in fast and

see Pete Fife for extra books if you think you can push them

like the next time at a family barbecue or party. Due to the

amount of members we have we need to sell more to qualify

for an award. Our membership is looking good but we need

to continue to push if we want to make star council and Pete

Fife has done a great job and I applaud him for his efforts as

well as the many that have helped out at membership drives

this year but as you know we are losing a service parish as

they have closed St. John Neuman so we will drop to

representing 4

parishes now. The council had a nice turnout for the

Wounded Warrior Project Annual Fund Raiser Dinner at

the Staten where we presented our own PGK William

Caputo who was the MC for the evening with a check for

1000.00 dollars. We also had our annual Joe Pompa Day

at the Races on June 16th and though turnout was smaller

than usual I am told that all had a great time so mark that

down for next year. We will have the annual Travis 4th of

July parade meeting at showplace at about 11am and are

hoping for a strong turnout. We also have the Staten

Island Yankee Game where we booked a luxury sweet

and the new corrected price is 35.00 per ticket and will

have fireworks after the game. We have about 13 tickets

still available and can get a second suite if needed. On

July 8th we will help out at the Boat Ride for God’s special

children and details are in the bulletin and Steak and Cigar

night on July 14th. This will be the only bulletin for July and

August so some dates to remember are the Family Picnic

on August 26th from 12:00-5:00 and our Installation of

Officers on 09/10 at 3:00 pm. Have a great summer and

be safe.

Fraternally yours,

Matthew V. Kuczinski Grand Knight

COLUMBIETTE CORNER

Dear Sister Columbiettes,

I would to thank all of my Sister Columbiettes and Brother Knights

for attending the Installation of our officers on June 22. Your

presence was greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to our Columbiette of the Year, Judy Gridley.

Judy, if I hadn’t mentioned it, thank you for your continued support.

You have given so much this year from saying the Rosary before

each meeting, to membership drives, and attending events.

In the next few weeks we will be mailing out our C & B book and

the yearly calendar. Please try to return the C & B books as soon

as possible.

At this time I would like to thank everyone who came out and

supported the Colmbiettes this year. Without your support we

would not have been able to give to so many of our charities, thank

you.

Events for the next 2 months are as follow:

• 7/4/17- Fourth of July Parade in Travis

11:00 AM

• 7/4/17- Staten Island Yankees – See bulletin for information

• 7/8/17- Boat Ride – See Bulletin for information

• 8/26/17- Family Picnic 12pm-5pm

The officers and I would like to wish everyone a relaxing summer,

be safe and enjoy. See everyone in September!

God Bless,

Patricia Valerio
