Pure Venom Reptile Park:-
This reptile park is the biggest in South Africa which is based inland near Shelly Beach on an old Estate farm. It is surrounded by black olives which were grown back in the 1800s. If you are a lover of all different type of reptiles or you are just curious to see them up close, visit the Pure Venom Reptile Park, where you can view indigenous species and exotic reptiles such as iguanas, crocodiles, birds, alligators and so much more. There is also a restaurant and a kiddies play area on site as well as a shop which sells various memorabilia.

Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve:-
This nature reserve has so many picnic sites for the family to enjoy. There are also hiking trails to explore while enjoying the views of the forests, rivers, rapids and ravines. The high sandstone cliffs dominate this 24 km long gorge which has been naturally carved out by the Umzimkhulu river. There is so much wild life to see such as leopards, bird life, troops of baboons and small antelope to view. There is so much to do within this resort such as ziplining, paintball wars, abseiling, bird hiking, white water rafting, suspension bridge and the wild swing. So if you are in the mood for an adrenaline rush take a trip to the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve.

Butterfly Farm
The Ramsgate Butterfly Valley specializes in butterflies from all over South Africa. What makes this farm interesting, is that the South African butterfly species (pupae) are breed on the farm and not imported. All their butterflies are open to the public for viewing. There is a lovely garden which you walk through to enjoy all the different species and plants. On this same farm there are also other insects and animals to see such as spiders, scorpions, stick insects, tortoises and much more. There is a little tea garden and a play area for the kids to enjoy.

Riverbend Crocodile farm
If you are looking to learn about crocodiles, entertain the kids and family or even have a lovely meal, you should consider visiting the River Bend Crocodile Farm in Southbroom. At
this croc farm you are able to view and feed these reptiles. There is also a weekly snake demonstration that happens every Sunday at 14.30. This also happens more frequently during season. If you are a lover of one of the oldest living reptiles, you should visit this croc world.

Vulture Viewing Hide
Oribi Gorge is the destination where you can view these special birds up close. The Oribi Gorge is privileged to have a resident breeding colony of over 200 Cape Vultures. This makes it easier for people to get close with these birds. From the accessible cliff vintage points, you are able to see these special birds flying close which is a breathtaking site. You can see stunning formations which are performed by these Birds and sometimes you can hear the rush of the air through their large feathers. The Oribi Gorge charges R100.00 to enter. This amount is used as a small donation towards these birds.

Red Desert Nature Reserve
The Red Desert is found in the outskirts of Port Edward. This is the smallest desert in the world. It lies 10km west of Port Edward town and is only 200m in diameter & 11 Hectares. This desert has been described as a miniature version of the Arizona Desert. The Hills and valleys of red hard soil give contrast to the lush green vegetation that surrounds the Red Dessert. This Red Desert has now become a national heritage site as the Archeological artifacts go back to millions of years ago. There have been myths and legendary stories which have been spread about Aliens landing in this specific area, but the truth about the origins of the Red Desert are found in the location of a Zulu tribe in the 1800s. The terrain became severely over grazed and subsequently eroded by wind leading to the desertification and an opportunity to study the desert ecology.
