A Note from the Executive Director
I want to introduce Nick Frawley, our Health Center Assistant Maintenance Director. Nick has been with Snyder Village since July 2017, and we welcome him into this new position. If you have already filled out a resident or family member satisfaction survey, Thank You! If not, you should be contacted soon. Everyone’s input is important, so we hear about the good…as well as items needing im-provement. Our 3rd annual Family, Food and Fun Day was another wonderful success! I love the fact that it keeps having more and more participation. My thanks to all who planned, participated, and came out for the golf cart pa-rade and cookout. An additional Thank You to all who participated in our annual golf outing! We hope every-one enjoyed themselves. Enjoy your 4th of July with family and friends, and remember God’s blessings as we enjoy being a citizen of the United States of America!

We had an exciting month in June!
The nice weather means scenic drives, more
walks outside, and even playing some of our
favorite games
outside too. We
held a baby item
drive for St.
Gianni’s Baby Pan-
try, and we have
held two bake
sales that raised
over $500 for St.
Jude. All the con-
struction in the
Health Center
sometimes makes things a little
more hectic, but we are excited for
the new chang-
es. We enjoyed
our visit to
Fondulac Farm
Park in East Pe-
oria with an ice
cream stop
afterward.
Thank you to
all who partici-
pated or attended our 30th Anniversary Golf
Cart Parade and Family, Food and Fun Day!
We had 23 golf carts, plus a tractor and sev-
eral antique cars – definitely a success!
We have more fun planned for July! On
July 3, we will begin a basket raffle with all
A Health Center Hel lo f rom the HC Act ivity Staf f
proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Re-
search Hospital. If anyone would like to do-
nate a basket please see Amanda or Ashley.
If you would like to buy raffle tickets,
you can purchase them from the front
desk greeters or from Amanda, Ashley,
Kirsten or Debi. The drawing will take
place Friday, July 13, at 2 pm. As well as
our regularly scheduled activities for
July, we’ll take scenic drives throughout
the month and
plan on going to
see the Roanoke
Fireworks July 3.
We’ll watch Peo-
ria Chiefs base-
ball July 16. We
will have music
from Judy Ernst
on the 3rd, Nut n’ Honey on the 12th,
Name that Hymn with Wayne & Con-
nie Livingston on the 19th, and Steve
Hargis on the 28th. On the 10th, our
furry companions with WOOF thera-
py dogs will be here to play Bingo. Fi-
nally on the 30th, we will get creative
with Fired Up! I hope you all are en-
joying your summer as much as we are!

July Therapy Presentation...
Posture is Important;
Save Your Back
Tues., July 10 * 9:15—9:45 am

It’s never too late to start good hab-
its. As we age, our spines and sur-
rounding muscles weaken causing
us to develop poor posture which
can reduce balance, effect breath-
ing, and lead to various health
problems. Bob Kooy with Snyder
Village Therapy Department will
lead this discussion. For info, con-
tact Snyder Village Therapy at

We are looking for Pinochle Players! We play
every Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. We play
six games and change partners after each game.
The winners move to the next table and play the
losers of that table. We ask each player to put 50
cents in the pot for the six games. Top three
players split the pot according to the place, and
last place also is rewarded with the “booby”
prize. Join us! We can teach you the rules and
how to play, and we have lots of fun. Call Glenn
Hamilton 367-9815 for info.
