Welcome to St. ThomasUniversity

Welcome From President and Vice-Chancellor Dawn RussellI am pleased that you are considering St. Thomas University.

As an alumna and a parent of graduates, I know how St. Thomas University changes the lives of students. I see it happen every year, and there has never been a better time to be a student here.

This year, we welcomed students from Canada and more than 35 other countries. First-year students who were in your situation one year ago are now thriving in our tight-knit community as they experience the distinctive education and campus life we offer.

Why is STU Distinct? We offer more than 25 majors and honours in our Bachelor of Arts. As our average class size is 26 (with most smaller), you will be taught by professors who know you. This is why our students are more likely to report significant gains in knowledge and skill development. This comes from students learning how to think critically and creatively, to write and speak effectively, and to analyze and solve complex, real-world problems — that will be you!

These are some of the reasons why I look forward to personally welcoming each and every student to our community.
