THE SISTERHOOD OF TRAVELLING HAMMERS From this….. Another amazing and rewarding experience working with Habitat for Humanity Zambia in Lusaka. Starting the trip off with 2 sisters, born in Zambia, now living in Canada, Peggy and Kathryn reached out to the community of Lusaka by offering yoga classes in exchange for donations to support the work of Habitat for Humanity Zambia. 10,000 Kwacha was raised and all proceeds donated to Habitat Zambia and most importantly connections were made with wonderful people and the word is spreading about the work that Habitat Zambia is doing in the country. Warm thanks goes out to all who supported our efforts, Siobhan at @Ad-dicts.com, Leopards Hill Polocrosse Club, Sonal at Yoga Rays, Jackie and staff at Curves Lusaka Manda Hill, Wayside Bed & Breakfast , yoga teachers Simone and Nickie at Yoga Lusaka and Faiza Assad for hosting us and all the yogis that joined us. Their support has helped to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families today, tomorrow and always. And that difference has already been shown. The following week 11 team members joined Habitat Team Leader Peggy Bell to build 2 homes for 2 deserving families in Linda Township Lusaka. Working with the staff of Habitat Zambia and local skilled tradesmen as well as the combined efforts of the community, 20 people now have a safe warm place to live. 70 year old Kaundula and wife Eli supporting their 2 daughters and 9 grandkids, and in the other household 70 year old Miliyah supporting her 2 daughters and 4 grandkids will receive a modest decent place to live. Working together we are helping to make a more healthy and positive future in their lives for generations to come. For more information contact [email protected] To this….

THE SISTERHOOD OF TRAVELLING HAMMERS

From this…..

Another amazing and rewarding experience

working with Habitat for Humanity Zambia in

Lusaka. Starting the trip off with 2 sisters, born in

Zambia, now living in Canada, Peggy and Kathryn

reached out to the community of Lusaka by

offering yoga classes in exchange for donations to

support the work of Habitat for Humanity Zambia.

10,000 Kwacha was raised and all proceeds

donated to Habitat Zambia and most importantly

connections were made with wonderful people and

the word is spreading about the work that Habitat

Zambia is doing in the country.
