The SimVan is a mobile integrated learning environment equipped with the latest technology that caters to healthcare professionals and learners across the Grampians Region. The purpose of the SimVan is to facilitate, deliver, educate and promote excellence among healthcare facilities and organisations. The mobile unit provides a safe and controlled learning environment, part–task trainers and state of the art mid–fidelity simulation equipment (e.g., SimMan 3G and SimMom) to allow a broad range of clinical skills education to be delivered. Our mission To continually improve the quality, safety and health outcomes of regional health care recipients through innovation and excellence in mobile clinical simulation training. By being responsive to trends in workforce, we aim to support the workforce skills and professional development of current and future health care professionals. Participants working and learning together can also be assessed on how they engage with other team members. Note: the SimVan Team does not complete competency assessments unless planned and confirmed prior to education delivery. Session length Simulations will vary depending on the participants and their current proficiencies, the scenarios selected and the level that takes place.
