Narrative and performance • This music video tells a story of how a man is waiting on this girl who he loves.• The main singer is mostly shown just walking around the street looking for the girl

however he sits on the corner of the street and the news find out and by the end ofthe video he could be classed as a celebrity as a lot of people know about him as ‘the manwho can’t be moved’.

• This music video is both narrative and performance as throughout the video they tella story relating to the lyrics but they also incorporate a performance as the whole bandperform the song for a section of the video.

• The camera is mostly focused on main singer.

• They use a lot of close up of the singers face and their feet as the lyrics are about him walking and finding someone.

• Most of the colours are neutral as the song is not upbeat.

• The lyrics are quite sad that is why they use close up’s of the main singer to get emotions to relate to the lyrics.

• The music video is calm as the man is just walking, this is good because the lyrics are also calm.

Camera work•Throughout the video the cameraman uses a lot of close up’s of the artist, the reason to usethese shots is because it captures the emotions as you can see his features more clearly. Forexample it is a sad song and you can tell that from his eyes or his mouth.•They also use long shot to get the artist and his surrounding in the frame. The reason they uselong shots for this video is because it is about a man trying to find a girl so you see him walking around the street looking.

Colours• Most of the colours in the music videos are neutral, one of the reason for this is because it

has been shot throughout the day and on the street. • The only dark colours on the video is of the main singers clothes, the reason for this is

because he is singing a depressed song.

Genre• The Script are a pop rock band.• In many of The Script’s music videos they are very emotional and moving, you can

tell this from the lyrics but the way they create a video helps to prove this as they useclose up’s of the main singer to see the emotions in his eyes.

• In most of their videos they are dressed very casual in a pair of jeans and a leather jacket.This shows the audience that the band is just like typical men.
