New Science

KOLLA 2 is the trade name for denatured and hydrolyzed collagen type II. It is

specially manufactured with a patented process (US Patent #6,838,440) that produces

denatured and hydrolyzed Collagen Type II chains. In addition, Kolla2® contains

important glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), including chondroitin sulfate and

hyaluronic acid.

Preliminary studies using Kolla2® on animal models has shown positive results,

and a larger clinical trial is being planned. Elderly canine subjects from a local

shelter were found to become viable pets again for adoption within a short period

of time after using Kolla2®, by markedly increasing their comfort and improving

stiffness in their limbs. An additional canine subject with osteoarthritis was found

to have his comfort and mobility level “improved at least 75% over his previous

conditions.”

Omega-3 Poly-Unsaturated Fatty Acids

Vitamin A

Vitamin A also supports the production of healthy oils in the skin. Both deficiency and excess vitamin A can lead to skin problems such as hair loss, poor coat quality and increased susceptibility to bacterial infections, which is why the correct balance of vitamin A is so critically important in the diet.


Vitamin B Complex

• The B-complex vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, d-pantothenic acid, niacin, pyridoxine, B12 and biotin) work in concert with the nutrients mentioned above to coordinate energy metabolism and synthetic processes. B vitamins are water-soluble, and therefore can’t be stored in the body. The balanced daily intake of these vitamins is vital to overall health.
