Deceleration is the key to a long, healthy and happy life. The Turtle Spa Concept® combines Schloss Elmau’s spa offers with the insights of modern sports science, nutrition, phytotherapy, aromatherapy and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) strategies and treatments. Western medicine often doesn’t take heed of disorders until there have already been changes in the organism. In contrast, Traditional Chinese Medi-cine notes even the subtlest signs of imbalance and counter-balances them with various measures. We use Qi Gong and Taijiquan exercises, Five Elements Nutrition, and European phytotherapy and aromatherapy to address all aspects of life in a holistic way and bring them back into ba-lance. Get to know the “wisdom of the turtle” and look forward to deep insights, pleasurable treatments, and the feeling of being able to take charge of your own life and health.

STATE- OF-THE-ART TR AININGIn two fitness gyms with fully open-able window fronts overlooking the Wetterstein massif or Elmau Valley, we offer our guests the latest equip-ment from the TechnoGym Skill series alongside a wide range of strength and endurance machines.
On the SKILLRUN , you can practice running against resistance or with a high incline without putting strain on your joints. The treadmill is ideal for health athletes; ambitious runners can improve their strength, acceleration and speed with simu-lated downhill runs, sled and para-chute training.
The SKILLROW rowing machine lets you exercise your body with a focus on the back – and no harmful impact loading. This helps to im- prove posture and alleviate back problems. The SKILLBIKE offers indoor bike training with an authentic street feel. A real gear shift, versatile ergonomic adjustment options, and pre-programmed routes make for a varied and intensive workout.
Training on the E XCITE TOP stimulates the metabolism without running, which makes it ideal for anyone who wants to improve their health while keeping their pulse moderate. The arm ergometer focuses specifically on exercising oft-neglected sections of the arms and upper body.
PERFOR M ANCE DIAGNOSTICSWITH SPIROERGOME TRYBy analyzing your respiratory gases and posture during running, our team can precisely determine your ideal pulse range for long-term, healthy endurance training – and for weight loss. Your movement sequence is optimized to avoid incorrect weight bearing when walking, running or cycling.
INDIVIDUAL PRO GR A MSOn request, we can create an indivi-dually adapted training program for you, with or without a personal trainer, as well as a matching nutrition program. You can also improve your physical and mental fitness with TCM, physiotherapy, yoga, Taiji, Qi Gong, Pilates, HIIT training, and back fitness.
