SUMMARY Ron Clark is a young passionate teacher in the small town North Carolina, the story begins when he leave in his town carrying his high hopes and big dreams. He want to teach in the big city of New York specifically in Inner Harlem Public School, despite of the discouragement of his friends and colleague he still want to continue his dream. He even embraces the busy life of the city. At first he worked in a restaurant and there he met Marissa Vigga whom later on became his love of his life. He successfully enter in Harlem Public School, when he first lay he’s feet in the school he saw a teacher and the students arguing and then the principal came out to stop them and right in front of him the teacher quit. And that’s his chance to get the job. The principal already warn him about the section that he will handle, despite of that Ron Clark still has a passion to pursue his job.

Clark endures the rudeness of the class in the first day and suffers even worst as the day passed by, his students pull a trick on him, they bully him and do everything just to make him quit the job but he never gives up on them. Instead, he finds a way to know them and to understand them, so he started visiting his students in their homes , know the story behind their attitudes. He thinks of many teaching strategies just to get the attention of the students. Even when he’s sick he still continue teaching the students by recording a video.

The most challenging part of Mr. Clark was when the students need to take an examination to pass and to move on to the next grade. Clark did his very best to educate his students and to train. During the examination he was very nervous and then the examination ends. And successfully his students pass the exam. He gave the awards to the outstanding students and surprisingly the students also gave him the award of being the best teacher.

The students change for the better because Mr. Clark believes in them when no one else has.

PERSONAL INSIGHT

I saw in this movie that being a teacher is not just teaches the

students how to write, to read and to understands the lesson, but also

TEACHING IS ALSO ABOUT CHANGING THE LIVES OF THE

STUDENTS.

This movie made me think on how will I act when I am already in field and it made me realize that being a teacher is not an easy job, that I need to work hard in order to succeed, that I should also believe in my students and will help them achieve their dreams. I also saw in this movie how powerful a teacher can be, because if Superman saves life, we teachers can change life.

Lastly, after watching the whole movie it inspires me a lot and it can also inspire those students who wants to be a teacher someday, that with love, passion and hardwork you can change lives. That despite of many hardships and challenges that you may encounter when you teach you can be successful. Through this movie I learned a lot, especially in Mr. Clark, his strategies, his love for teaching, and love for his students. It serves also as an inspiration to those future teachers that we can do it if we have that pure love in teaching.
