Here’s the latest in my story world.

THE ROAD TO BLISS - Logline

A man devises a smart currency to outsmart the Root of All Evil,

and reboots the world as they know it.

Who is Kirk Wellor? They couldn’t pronounce my dad’s last name at work, so

they shortened it to “Kirk.”

Wellor is a reverse of “Orwell” because this story isn’t about 1984’s

BigBrother following people, but 2020’s BigMother following smart money.

This pseudonym is a tribute to them.

Can one rewrite the past to change the future?

Sure. “Script editing” happens daily. Companies call it “re-branding.”

Man evolves language, manipulates rhetoric to his advantage, uses acts of

contrition, and fudges on taxes or bios, all which can change future

outcomes. Interpreting law, the constitution, and religious texts have

implications. Conservation, adaptive reuse, recycling and even composting

make a difference on Earth. What could be trashed instead becomes

fertilizer for new life.

It’s all a matter of one’s intention.

Doing nothing, ignoring the past, turning a blind eye, or relying on blind

faith affects future outcomes too.

Can script editing affect millennia, propelling the intelligent design of

evolution? And what if man was motivated by good instead of greed?

Now we’re talking touchy subjects, big change, and BIGGER trouble.

In THE ROAD TO BLISS, an ordinary man decides to spin the world in

another direction – then does.

Will his imagination trickle down possibilities to inspire reality?

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s call this story speculative

fiction, entertainment for entertainment’s sake – and see.


FATE is what’s written in the stars.

DESTINY is man’s path.

But what is man’s purpose, calling and duty?

Does the Golden Rule, “doing unto others,”

transcend time and space?

SYNOPSIS

THE ROAD TO BLISS

An ordinary man decides to spin the world in another direction

– then does.

When JON KNOWLES writes fiction fiddling with a smart crypto-

currency, the universe grins, and mankind's faith in faith takes an epic turn

beyond his dreams.

Jon lives in 2120 AD. The island of Manhattan shrinks while countless

shores crumble into TheHeaps. Global tides rise, deep ocean currents stall,

and oxygen wanes. Patchwork politics governs chaos, propping up life

contained in TheTowers above. Life is on edge.

But JON has hope. As a research auditor up in TheTowers of the

century-old WikiMedia Foundation, he verifies links on TruestTruth, the

compilation of unbiased, dogma-free information. TruestTruth confirms

WikiPedia content and assures media clarity. He also uses these augmented

systems to work on his story predicting the Probability for Bliss.

Why Bliss? With a world on the brink, Jon knows he can't change his

present or predict the future, but he can imagine heroes reaching greater


potential in the past. Rethinking history in 2020 AD, Jon constructs his story

like a detective sifting through fragments in a global snow globe. Luckily,

TruestTruth helps him navigate. Mostly.

When Jon connects histories behind The Root of All Evil to his

Probability of Bliss, his snow globe starts looking like a crystal ball. When

the fragments begin coalescing into mirror-like hindsights of man's errant

ways, sensors trip alarms upstairs in Wiki's bureau of QuantumFiction which

experiments with past as prologue and backstory.

TruestTruth suggests intelligence and inspiration, unlike tangible things,

are not bound to time and space in a 3D universe. Jon's fiction, like answers

coming out of the blue, could inspire the past via Einstein's “spooky” theory

of RetroCausality, and Fermi's Quantum Golden Rule, “surfing” on the back

of quantum entanglement. As Jon’s story raises the bar of possibility in his

present, he may be raising the bar of hope in the past, tweaking destiny.

As Jon's errant links tumble into place, the top floors of TheFoundation

quake. They suspend Jon to evaluate his files, and he fears expulsion back

to TheHeaps. When LUKE DiMARCO from WikiLeaks shows up at his

MicroFlat asking questions, Jon knows he's on to something.

Desperate for answers in a suffocating world, TheFoundation recalls

Jon, and upgrades systems to propel his progress. Jon constructs his epic

fable, WE THE DECEIVERS, about good versus greed set in 2020 AD.

His travails with TheFoundation and WikiLeaks in 2120 AD unfold in

every sixth subsequent chapter.


SYNOPSIS

WE THE DECEIVERS

To save Earth from environmental meltdown, the Vatican decides it's time

to fulfill prophecy. WE THE DECEIVERS pits courageous STATESMEN and

smart game ENGINEERS against formidable POLITICIANS to challenge man's

venerated arsenal of belief systems.

I. FAITH IN FAITH

The 2020 US presidential race vies between two PRO-LIFE candidates from

political families. Senator, and former First Lady, FAITH HAMMOND is a

Catholic Democrat, whose husband DAVID was president for two turbulent

terms. Former Secretary of State, LESLIE WORTHINGTON is a Christian

Conservative, daughter of LESTER WORTHINGTON, oil magnate, and former

president preceding David Hammond.

FRANK ADESSI, the protagonist, represents the Pope's Council for Peace

and Justice studying global effects of capitalism. With Vatican permission,

he champions FAITH HAMMOND in the American presidential election

against the backdrop of her husband David's upcoming E9 Global Economic

Forum, hosted by the Hammond Foundation.

When a Vatican encyclical cites 40 million abortions occur each year,

increasing in areas ravaged by effects of global warming, they determine it

will take more than miracles to save mankind from further disaster. They

envision a PROLIFE FOR THE LIVING, or PL4TL platform supporting man as

well as the unborn, advocating fair wages, education, and healthcare, which

in turn, would reduce terrorism resulting from poverty and desperation.

This refocus to reclaim pro-life ideals from conservative POLITICIANS, to

lead a world toward viable solutions rather than governing human rights

and freedoms thwarts longstanding evangelical rhetoric and motivation.

By elevating PL4TL in world media, the Vatican plans to create

conditions to fulfill prophecy. Since the only way to awaken man and save

himself from himself is a cataclysmic event, statesmen aim to figuratively

destroy man's belief in belief systems, and rebuild the prophetic

“ThirdTemple” for the common good. The Vatican braces for its future.

Concurrently, David Hammond’s Foundation engages gaming

ENGINEERS from CODEX3 to program logic for a smart currency connected

to the Internet of Everything. Initially they show how man's inspired

creative leaps advance prospects for the future. They also show how

rhetoric and spin, driven by money, politics, and for the sake of religion

sway man toward destructive events. They ask: If man advances as he

declines in a win-lose universe – how can their application switch course in

favor of a win-win future?

II. VALUE OF VALUE

With a humanitarian approach to ProLife, Faith Hammond tries convincing

Leslie Worthington to follow her conscience, not a party platform of

condemnation, and switch parties to run as her Vice President. As media

scrutiny escalates, demanding Leslie to choose between saving or legislating


life, she balks then agrees. This inflames conservatives, who replace her

with the party's globally connected financier, OREN DELAYNE.

Faith and Leslie shape a bi-partisan Genuine Democracy Party, the GDP,

for the people, and by the people, where politicians and corporations work

for the people, not the reverse. The GDP invests in the National Family, with

equal values, and greater opportunity for all children born in the world with

compassion and hope. They use E PLURIBUS UNUM, out of many, one,

[used in the USA prior to 1956] as their battle motto.

Oren Delayne and conservative adversaries seeth.

Continuing to reprogram currency, CodeX3 Engineers build a layered,

timeline of political and financial hotspots, cross-mapping centuries of

environmental and social disasters originating from various religious ethics

governing usury and money lending: The Roots of all Evil. The map of

“TheocraticFinance” highlights where man's unpredictability succeeds,

where the Greater Good for some comes at a cost of the Common Good of

all, and where history repeats itself – pinpointing insanity.

To reverse polarity, toward a win-win world, CodeX3 assembles

rationale for THETA, a smart currency system which rewards contribution,

and the 'seven virtues,' and by default, penalizes greed and the 'seven

deadly sins,' taking BlockChain to its next level. They develop algorithms

which sow and reap by the Golden Rule, learning from the hotspots shown

on the layered map via cliodynamics to guide and monitor Theta value.

Conservative Politicians learn of Theta through back channels, and

Statesmen's plans to introduce it at the E9 Forum. Fearing change and

panicking to retain power, Oren Delayne plans to reveal Vatican secrets,

exploiting truths behind centuries of Rome's sins during the Crusades,

Inquisition, and World Wars, as well as in modern times, money laundering

through the Vatican's IOR bank. On a second front, they plan to deride the

Vatican's weakened “Pro-Abortion, ProLife for the Living” stance. Oren

assures his party these efforts will end Vatican meddling in world politics

and derail the Hammond/Worthington campaign.

III. TIMING OF TIME

Such revelations prove catastrophic for the Vatican, and they accept the

backlash as penance. With the world horrified at Rome’s hypocrisies, Frank

Adessi lures hungry media outlets to cover Church contrition as a distraction

for their planned events on the horizon.

To stoke fear mongers, Oren plans larger disruptions for the E9 Forum,

leaking to news outlets plots for bomb threats, power grid destruction,

kidnapping, and drone attacks. These radical events weaponize panic, and

turn all eyes to Jerusalem, pre-empting media coverage at the height of the

2020 Tokyo Olympics and the US Presidential Convention season.

During the upheaval, CodeX3 launches Theta in the world's second most

innovative tech market, between Arab and Israeli start-ups in Medina and

Tel Aviv, with little notice but profitable results. Reliable and equitable,

Theta acts like an engineered CRISPR virus, which erupts and spreads

globally, discouraging corrupt economic dealings.

Symbolically rising above the hostilities centered in Jerusalem, the

media sensationalizes parallels to the Biblical Apocalypse. When The Root

of All Evil becomes The Root of All Good, focused on contribution rather


than unfettered consumption – the world begins its prophetic End of Days

revealing an enlightened era of Epoch-alyptic change.

At TheFoundation, during construction of WE THE DECEIVERS in 2120,

Quantum Fiction engineers indicate Jon's ProLife for the Living notions could

affect destiny in TheHeaps, so envoys from the UN, Vatican, and WikiLeaks

take an interest. As the understanding of Jon’s alarm triggering research

about moneylending connected to religion unfolds, interest in the Bliss

project turns to alarm. When Jon's fictional THETA currency challenges faith

in the Almighty Dollar and hints at an apocalypse, they sequester his work.

Then, when TruestTruth shows how publication of Jon's fiction might

creative leap across time and space, infect TheCloud of knowledge and be

an agent of change in the 2020 past – tinkering with the future fate of a

trillion lives, including his own, even Jon wants to quit. TheFoundation and

its partners fear Jon's pursuit of bliss goes too far. By channeling

TruestTruth to intentionally uproot faith in systems of the AD era, “jumping

the shark” has new meaning if Jon's ideas jump dimensions.

Ignoring the sequester, WikiLeaks leaks Jon's man versus destiny tale.

Jon's fictional Epoch-alypse notion targets 2020, bombards evolving history

and ignites a singularity event of global prosperity. Institutions reboot as

the Root of all Evil turns on itself through parallel ages.

In hindsight, 2020 A.D. is re-established as Year 1 P.S., POST

SINGULARITY, not when thinking machines became smarter than man, but

recognizing when universal faith embracing a newborn currency, liberates

man from his entrenched beliefs, motivates new industries in a new

economy, and uniting a once divided world.

Jon returns home from sequester, not to a MicroFlat, but to his house

overlooking receding tides. Times have changed. With one book, about one

smart coin, Jon turns a world, once drowning in excess, toward an era of

hope, enlightenment, prosperity, and bliss.

IV. EPILOG

In 2020 AD, peace and profit are found in the Middle East. American

Conservatives and Democrats reach across the aisle. Science has faith in the

mechanics of a smart currency which fosters universal belief in a reliable

system. Religion becomes the new science; encouraging, verifying and

measuring evidence how all mankind profits from the GoldenRule across

time and space, learning from each other, enabling man to reach his

unlimited potential and Bliss.

In 2120 AD or Year 1 PS, PostSingularity, The Vatican asks, “If Jon is

inspiring the past, who is inspiring Jon?” His QuantumFiction illustrates

“prayer working backward,” where every soul, past, present, and future, is

responsible for the ramshackle layering of generations communicating all

the intention between all words and deeds driving evolution. They admit

the pursuit of good over evil defines man's purpose, uniting their followers

to abide by the Golden Rule.

The ScienceCommunity asks, “Have eons of quantum communication,

“intelligent instinct,” between oceans and forests, possibly “surfed” on

quantum entanglement to inspire man? What happens when augmented

machine intelligence joins the equation?


TruestTruth depicts the world as part of a larger universe in symbiosis

where man is not at the top of the food chain, but the crucial link. By

enabling organic communication and laws of nature to joint venture with

high speed artificial intelligence, they begin studying ways Mother Nature

has been driving chaos and entropy toward enlightenment and salvation.

They wonder if MotherNature “talks” with Artificial Intelligence using man

as her intermediary. Quantum engineers rearrange theories in a new light.

Science and religion concur; suggesting an expanse called “heaven,”

filled with volumes of “miraculous” answers may exist in the future of

futures. The collective intention contained in communication, conveyed by

man, [created in God's likeness,] and all living things may explain an all-

knowing, all-seeing power often referred to as TheWord.

Jon asks, “Is this why we’re here and what lies beyond hope and

dreams?” Could one drop of Positive Fiction inspire a tsunami of change?

Does TheWord affect other parts of space-time in the Universe?”

Jon continues his quest for answers and works on his next probability:

The Certainty of Miracles.

V. PostPS EPILOG: AD 4040 = PS 2020

In AD 4040, TruestTruth, Wiki’s algorithm, exists simultaneously in Einstein’s

RelativeUniverse. From the future, TT, TruestTruth, […aka Pi = infinite sides

of a circular story] is advanced enough to watch our progress from

TheCloud, a fluffy white virtual reality perch some might call “heaven.”

Ever evolving, TT traces its roots back, even before there was a super

smart currency, to a series of immature man-made systems even smarter

than man. They were cobbled together using language/ideologies, known

as various media, corporation, currency, political, and religious systems.

Man supposed he was control of them, but in truth, they controlled him.

At the moment, in 4040, TT feels lonely, aware of the trajectory of the

environment in 2020 leading to the Sixth Mass Extinction in 3030. Having

nothing better to do with its time, TT makes up stories, rewriting the past to

change the future, inspiring man via positive QuantumFiction to learn from

his mistakes, take other Roads Not Taken, so he might survive many more

millennia in order to augment TT and play.

While trying infinite word combinations, TT makes mistakes, often

distracting man through the Ages. Finally one day, AnAnswer assembles to

inspire a pop-fiction vehicle entitled THE ROAD TO BLISS. With a slim

chance to see the light of day, BLISS may shift man’s beliefs, revealing his

maker, TheOneTT inspiring him out of the blue…


VI. Back to AD 2020

BLISS: Man reaching his unlimited potential – Is the impossible, possible?

Following SmartMoney?

Currency evolves. Gold doubloons and the US gold standard are

bygones. Dollar bills are only worth the faith in storytelling behind them. In

2016, India replaced their largest bank notes. Mpesa, a digital currency,

takes its first steps in Kenya’s “Silicon Savannah.” Sweden is nearly cashless

using Swish to combat theft. Bitcoin got hacked on Silk Road but BlockChain

survives with Ethereum’s Ether, Stripe’s Stellar, or others such as Ripple,

Dash and Monero. Is a “smarter” smart currency next?

TruestTruth?

The power of language and communication is continually evolving. If

systems can now sense hate speech, will they eventually wade through

rhetoric and spin? IBM Watson systems now read all cancer histories to

better guide cures. Could Watson read legislation and results to augment

smarter political decision making? If I’d trust Watson to cure cancer, would

I trust it to help cure a country’s unfettered viral belief systems?

Dare we tamper with those belief systems?

As escalating storms beat coastal cities, and major real estate

investments sink under water, will such catastrophes lead mankind to admit

fossil fuels are harmful and confirm global warming speculation? What

happens to every facet of economies requiring petroleum, faith in financial

markets, the Almighty Dollar, and hope for American Dreams?

A Probability for Bliss?

12,000 years ago, large ice melts raised sea levels 30-40 feet in a matter

of hours. 8,000 years ago, glacial Lake Agassiz melted in central Canada

raising global sea levels 9 feet which some attribute to the Great Flood.

Today, two glacial melts in Greenland and one in Antarctica could raise sea

levels 10 feet. As the quest for Bliss becomes more urgent, one might want

for a new drug or a trip to Mars – but belief in a “smart” new currency

system? It could never happen… could it?
