Exalted Ruler’s Message I had the pleasure of attend-ing the Grand Lodge Conven-tion held in Austin, Texas. This was definitely a learning experience for me, where I was able to pick-up additional knowledge about Elkdom. Additionally, I had the pleas-ure of meeting many Exalted Rulers from throughout the country, and even the State! As shown with the photo above, we had a fantastic turnout for the first annual family fun day held on July 21st. We plan on continuing this event each year. As I have stated over-and-over again, I am looking for ideas to make this event bigger and better. Furthermore, these events cannot continue with-out the support of all the Members of 2202! Please vol-unteer and/or support the events! On August 5th, the Break-fast committee will once again be serving up their all you can eat breakfast. I have been notified the cost will increase to $8.00 per person, $4.00 for children 6-10, and free for kids 5 and under! This
fee will carry into regular breakfast schedule for Sep-tember. On August 25th, Mike Don-di and his crew will hold their fifth annual pig roast. The fee is only $20 per person, and once again, live music provid-ed by The Chili Blues Band, begins at approximately 7:00PM On September 22nd, there will be the “End of Summer” bash held at the pavilion. Menu items will include sau-sage and peppers, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, etc. All for $20 a person. The event will start at 4PM, with music by DriveTime, classic blues, rock and soul starting at 6PM. Please call and/or sign-up at the Lodge, reservations strongly recommended. I’d like to thank those mem-bers, and their families and friends who have supported our events thus far through the summer months. The renovations of the new Club Room are well under way. We are still open with

the bar being set up in the hall temporarily. Please forgive our appearance! With the renovations in mind, you may have heard rumors we will consider going non-smoking throughout the whole Lodge at a Lodge meet-ing. Please respond to me di-rectly for or against the change. Any changes made need to be approved by a ma-jority of those members pre-sent during the meeting the vote will be called. You will be notified when this meeting will be held, hence come and support your position.

Aaron Lajoie If you want anything cleaned, ask for Aaron to stop by! His continued efforts in support-ing the Lodge is without ques-tion, and we couldn’t have completed the demolition of the Club Room without him. Fraternally, Joe Grillo, Sr. Exalted Ruler

We are about to enter the 5th month of the Lodge year, and we still have some 55 members indicated in my records as not paying their dues. With this in mind, a second billing will be going out; however, keep in mind I am only human and I may make a mistake. Therefore if you re-
ceive a letter and you have your 2012-2013 dues card, simply send me a copy of it, and I’ll be happy to correct my records.

Please bear with us, as we are currently remodeling the bar area. There is a tem-porary bar in the hall. The end results will be worth the inconvenience! This month is our annual Pig Roast on August 25th. Please come on down to the pavilion and enjoy the evening with
your family and friends. We have created a Facebook “event for this event.” Please let us know if you’ll be joining us! We will be hosting our first End of summer bash on Sept 22nd. Mark you calendars, as this should be a blast! I want to thank Tom Harkins, Hugh Meadows, Doug Kehl, and Jody Poulin , Bette Grillo, Mike Briglia, for helping with Friday night dinners. We are continuing Friday night din-ners through August, if there is anyone willing to volunteer to cook, it would be appreciated.
