Christianity emerged from Judaism.
People converted to Christianity mainly because of Jewish beliefs that they did not agree with.
Where did the religion come
from?
Jesus is the Son of God, and the Messiah.
One has to love others and live a life of holiness in order to be saved.
Christianity was originally practiced by Jesus' disciples and spread during the rule of Constantine.

Even though the religion has changed in many ways, for example how it branched of into other kinds of practices, it still remains basic in the way that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is Christian. So I believe the founder would recognize it today.

Summery of Christianity
Christianity can be summarized as a religion that was influenced by the poor because the religion gave them a sense of hope and equality with higher classes. It was spread by followers of Jesus and by the Rule of Constantine was legalized and Followers of the faith no longer had to deny or suffer because of their beliefs. From the time of 70 A.D to now the religion has not really had a major change but the fact that it was divided into branches that still believe in the same thing but preach it in different ways.
