Day life Old town of Chiavenna: perfect setting
for a relaxing walk among historic buildings, shops and culture. Via F. Dolzino is the main street of the town. Harmonious and welcoming, Chiavenna collects most
of the historic beauty of our valley.
Palazzo Vertemate: it is located in Piuro and it is one of the most charming and rich
mansions of Lombardy dating back from the sixteenth century.
Collegiata San Lorenzo and baptistery: showpiece point of Chiavenna is the beautiful Romanesque
church of San Lorenzo that conquers everybody. In the complex, the wonderful baptistery, which is still used today to administer baptism, is worth a visit.
Crotti: typical restaurants in the vicinity of natural caves that can ensure constant temperatures all year round and where wine, cheese and cured meat are stored. Eating in a crotto can always
be a different experience, ranging from the informal to the more sophisticated kind. The ideal

Canyoning: Boggia torrent is one of the most beautiful canyons in Europe. With its three ways it offers the opportunity to jump in waters of rare beauty and learn about the wilderness.
Both rafting and Canoeing are water sports that favour an emotional contact with nature and the River Adda is the ideal watercourse to enjoy this adventurous sport.
Snowshoes are footwear for walking over the snow. In the past snowshoes were essential tools for those who lived in the mountains.
Madesimo: counting 50 km of ski slopes, is one of the most important ski resorts in Italy, which attracts tourists from all over Europe. It is located on the border with Switzerland.

Sagra dei crotti Every year, in the
second week-end of September, it is organized a famous festival called "Sagra dei Crotti", a great set of cultural, gastronomic and folkloristic events, where people gather to eat, drink, sing and have fun, rediscovering the tradition of crotti.
Cantine The festival of wine, is an event
that takes place in Morbegno in autumn. This event is an opportunity to get to know and taste the best wines produced in our area, which are accompanied by local products. During this festival over fifty cellars are open to the public. They are located in the oldest and most characteristic streets of the town of Morbegno. The festival attracts many visitors and tourists who are given the traditional Goblet of the event.
Mostra del Bitto The exhibition of Bitto, is
an event that has taken place in Morbegno, in the course of three days in October, for more than a hundred years. Bitto is a typical local cheese, produced in pastures during the summer months. Besides the Bitto, from which the exhibition takes its name, visitors can taste all local products. Cultural and folk events and programmes for children make this festival a must for families.

concerts and local festivals you can attend just sipping a drink in the numerous pavement cafes in the little squares of the old town of Chiavenna,. In the winter season ski lovers can experience downhill skiing on the lighted up slopes, ending the night in a disco!
