The Erasmus Programme: the largest student exchange program in the World
• Over 3 million people have been experiencing Erasmus since 1989
• They will be 5 million in 2020
• 1.300 Universities and other actors are involved
• 14.7 billion euro to be invested from 2014 to 2020 (40% increase)
• From 2014, Erasmus is moving mobile people from all over the world to Europe and viceversa
The Erasmus Generation: talents with high potential
The Erasmus Impact Study has demonstrated that graduates who experienced Erasmus have the skills most sought-after in talents by recruiters and employers:

How?

8"
An “international-native” community where mobile talents meet recruiters, partners, and investors

I’m Greek but I like to live abroad. After
my Erasmus in Stockholm, I dream
of finding a job there!
I have to recruit 30 new consultants for the Swedish office of
my company. 3 people should be able to speak Greek
because of our clients.
I have a business idea. I’m searching for an investor in
Europe to fund my new company!
I’m searching for new start-ups to
fund all over Europe.

• Reports for premium clients on community activities (for example: my company page data, group data, etc.)
The users’ experience of the platform will be focused on several specific features to facilitate international matching both for jobs and businesses:
14"
Assets
THE PROFILES OF ALL ERASMUS STUDENTS (250,000 PER YEAR) • Thanks to an agreement with the European Commission, the garagErasmus Foundation
will be authorized to invite to Check-in Europe all higher education students in the Erasmus+ Programme
• We estimate to reach 1 million members in our community by 2017
THE STRENGTH OF THE ERASMUS BRAND • Erasmus is a life-changing experience. There is a very strong sense of belonging among
most Erasmus alumni, which facilitates recognition, networking, and participating in the community
• The high visibility and good reputation of the programme: 33 active countries, over 3 million people (and their families), over 1000 European Universities and Cities all over Europe, thousands of companies engaged in Erasmus placements, etc.
THE PRIVATE-PUBLIC ALLIANCE • A quickly growing community of European cities and institutions supporting the
Foundation’s activities • A large network of European Universities which form partnerships for employer
branding, start-ups and innovation initiatives at international level
15"
Revenue streams
DIGITAL • Job posting • Premium features for clients
(data, page customization, etc.) • Advertising • Special initiatives (webinars,
dedicated areas, etc.)
MEET-UPS • Event tickets • Event sponsorship packages • Public funding
The points of difference from the main market players are:
• A potential integrated proposition (online recruiting ! offline events ! online follow-up)
• An international positioning and the strength of the assets: Erasmus brand, large user database, institutional partnerships

Purposes
The garagErasmus Foundation is searching for a strategic partner with whom to co-develop the Check-in Europe online platform.
We are searching for innovative start-ups, focused on developing talent sourcing or professional social networks, which want to share a roadmap to growth together.
The partnership aims at:
• Developing a common business plan, to make the Check-in Europe project sustainable for the partner and the Foundation, both as a standalone digital platform and integrated with the garagErasmus events (Meet-ups).
• Sharing the goals of the project, in terms of values and approaches. We promote entrepreneurship and innovation and like to work with innovators and new companies that accept to take shared risks with us.
• Designing and implementing the digital platform, to build a great user experience online on a high standard in line with current market standards (design, features, technology, etc) .
