Central to the Gessi environment is the ambitious “company-oasis” project that aesthetically and productively restored ancient abandoned buildings and rehabilitated a quarry site with low-impact

factilities immersed within a green park area.

LOW IMPACTGessi’s research and development stridently focuses on creating innovative and eye-catching designs that optimise energy and water conservation and minimise our production

footprint. In so doing, Gessi responsibly and positively addresses the environmental impact of

its products during production and end-use.

All Gessi products are manufactured in accordance with the highest international standard for environmental management. Indeed, Gessi set many of the standards before they are required and now exceeds them. Gessi does not just mouth

environmental plaudits, Gessi lives by them.

GESSI WATER EFFICIENCYCommitted to the preservation of the world’s vital drinking water supply, Gessi’s designers have spent yeards developing taps and showers with up to 6 Star Ratings – making them amongst the world’s most water-efficient products. Some Gessi taps use up to two-thirds less water than a standard tap, while a Gessi water-efficient showerhead can cut water usage significantly – representing an annual saving of 13,500 litres of each person in a home. No cuts in efficiency but

enormous cuts to bills.

RASULO

Gessi’s lengthy creative collaboration with design and sculptor, Prospero Rasulo, has led to revolutionary lifestyle concepts and splendid designs, which have rendered Gessi a benchmark for the world’s most innovative and

glamorous interior design elements.

Labels don’t fit Prospero Rasulo. He goes where his creative mind takes him and throughout his career that has included stage sets, paintings, sculptures, environmental spaces, interior design,

industrial design…..more.

Bron in Stigliano di Matera in 1953, Rasulo graduated from the Milan Fine Arts Academy before setting up a studio in the same city. He painted, sculpted and designed stage sets design. He worked with Studio Alchimia and Alessandro Mendini on the “Redesign” and “Banal Object” projects; and created video, photo and exhibit set designs for Studio Occhiomagico. He has participated in the Mialn Triennale and established OXIDO, a design, art and architecture gallery. Oxido became the trademark of collections of furniture

and interior design items.

As an industrial desiger, Rasulo has worked with various companies, including Arflex, Foscarini, B.R.F, WMF, Zanotta, Poltronova Antonio Lupi, Fiam Italia, Mandelli, Glas, Rosenthal, Fabbian and Gessi.

Combining timeless European quality and style with groundbreaking technological innovation, Rettangolo Cascata’s Colour version transcends conventional tapware thinking with its magical

cascade of light-infused water.

Exclusive, patented technology imbues the water with colour to match its temperature – without

batteries or electricity – via a clean-energy turbine that runs using the water flow.

The integrated tubine powers and LED connected to a temperature sensor, illuminating the water with colours ranging between blue, violet and red

according to the water temperature.

Thanks to the refractive nature of light, a coloured cascade emerges – creating a spectacular effect, while enabling the user to visually perceive the

water temperature.
