for children 4 years old – 6th grade

in the Chapel. This exciting time for children will include components of a regular worship service such as music, an offertory, and a message, as well as child-friendly elements such as puppetry and drama. Children should be dropped off in the Chapel between 10:30-10:45 a.m. Please take children for a quick restroom/water break before dropping them off. 5th and 6th graders will be dismissed to come meet you at the close of the service, but younger children can be picked up in the Chapel after the Morning Worship Service. If you have any questions, please email Erica Holloway, [email protected] or call 342-5349.

In 2013, the mission team to Africa distributed prescription eyeglasses, reading glasses and sunglasses to hundreds of people in two villages in Tanzania. Hearts were warmed and praises lifted as many adults could now thread a needle, cut their fingernails, read a book and see the beauty of their land. Also, the distribution of many personal items were received as precious gifts bringing smiles of gratitude.

During the next several months we will be collecting all types of eyeglasses, wash cloths, small soaps, toothbrushes, socks, knit caps, wide head bands that will cover ears, mirrors, kerchiefs, ear muffs, Mardi Gras beads, small nail polish, pens, pencils, and neck scarves. These will be taken to Africa by the team which leaves May 29. Please donate what you can to this important endeavor.

Collection boxes will be located in the Library foyer, the Activities Center and the Dining Hall foyer.

Join Spring Hill Baptist Church and Orphan’s Heart, an international childcare program established by the Florida Baptist Children’s Home with the mission to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of orphaned and disadvantaged children in the developing world.

The trip is from August 2-8, 2014. The cost is $1,250 including airfare, lodging and most meals. Registration deadline is March 31 but only 10 spots are available.

Approximately 40% of people in the Dominican Republic are living in poverty and do not have access to basic needs such as shelter, food, clothing, education and medicine. The area around Azua, Dominican Republic will be the focus of this trip. • Amedicalmissionteamtoworkinlocalchurches.

• Aministrytoneedychildren.

• Sharingthegospelthroughsports, playandstorytimeswiththechildren, and conducting vacation Bible schools.

Work may include carrying light weight styrofoam blocks or rebar, mixing concrete in a power mixer, sealing concrete, painting, etc. Students over the age of 15 may go with their parents.

Please contact Michael Sherman at [email protected] or 342-5320 to register.
