fi rst completely wireless set of scale forks.

The signal from the forks to the weight

indicator is transferred by Bluetooth.

This means no external cabling, enabling

DIY installation within minutes. It also

The exact weight of the sheet of paper on which Raphaël van

Seumeren sr. wrote his fi rst ideas on mobile weighing systems

RAVAS mobile scales are both designed and

built to work well in the heaviest of conditions.

Connectors and cabling are kept to a minimum,

leading to more durability and less safety risks.

Materials and parts used are robust, scales

are seamlessly integrated in the forks of your

truck. Therefore our scales can take loads up to

30 tonnes, but can also detect if there are really

100 bolts in a box or just 99. Moisture, dust,

heat, cold or vibrations do not prevent them

from delivering you all the weight information

you need year after year.

RAVAS Pallet Truck ScalesFirst-rate European quality, RAVAS

weighing pallet trucks come in all shapes

and sizes. Like the low cost RAVAS-1

and RAVAS-1100, for check weighing of

incoming and outgoing goods. Or the ultra

light RAVAS-2100/4100, for batching, fi lling

drums or containers, and for counting.

The RAVAS-6100 in its turn is very effi cient

at counting parts or mixing and dosing

according to recipes, while the RAVAS-2100

EXi is an ATEX certifi ed scale for use in

Why weigh?

Weighing provides you the data needed

for checking and registering incoming and

outgoing shipments, for correct order picking,

for mixing and dosing, fi lling and counting.

But weighing takes time. Or at least it did.

With a RAVAS mobile scale on your pallet

truck or forklift truck you do two things at

once: transporting and weighing.

Saving time

Using RAVAS mobile weighing systems, it’s

no longer necessary to drive every pallet or

container back and forth to a fi xed fl oor scale –

creating a more effi cient process. The decrease

in truck movement helps you save energy or

fuel and prevents wear and tear. Good news,

as the less you have to move materials around,

the smaller the risks of damage or loss during

transport. More effi cient weighing also means

that less labour is required. And by eliminating

fl oor scales approximately 20 m2 of valuable

fl oor space can be freed.

A RAVAS mobile scale earns itself back within

months, in man-hours alone. An example:

imagine a distribution centre that has 200,000

pallet movements per year. In 62,000 of

these movement cycles the pallet needs to be

weighed on a fl oor scale. Weighing directly on

the lift trucks that move the pallets around, will

save 3 minutes on every pallet cycle, or 3,100

man-hours per year, a yearly cost saving of

€ 77,500. In order to realize these benefi ts,

8 forklift trucks and 2 reach trucks need to

be equipped with RAVAS scale forks.

The initial investment is € 42,250. Yearly costs

for maintenance are € 5,500.

This all adds up to a payback time of seven

months. The total return on investment (ROI)
