About Higher Education in Poland treats: • the Act of 27 July 2005
• the Law on Higher Education
• Vocational studies carried out in high school that provide knowledge and skills in specific areas of education of bachelor or engineer.
• Science at the first level studies requires prior completion of secondary school and passing of the final exams, lasts from six to ten semesters (usually six semesters, or three years) and ends up defending a thesis. Completion of these studies gives opportunity to continue education for the studies of the second degree.
First degree studies
Second degree studies
• Masters degree studies in order to obtain
expertise knowledge in a specific area of
training, as well as preparation for creative
work in a particular occupation, leading to
a master's degree or equivalent.
Uniform masters degree
• Masters degree to which candidates are admitted
possession of the certificate of maturity, in order to
obtain expertise in a specific area of knowledge, as
well as prepare for creative work, leading to
a master's degree or equivalent title, and their
completion gives opportunity to apply for
admission of the third degree.
Third degree studies
• Doctoral studies, on which are admitted
candidates with a master's degree or equivalent
degree, in order to obtain advanced knowledge
in a specific area or discipline of science,
preparing them for independent research and
creative activity and to obtain doctoral degrees.
Postgraduate studies
• Other than higher education and
doctoral studies form of education
designed for people with university higher
education

• the ability to use interdisciplinary knowledge about the regularity of human development, variations of organic, psychological, social and educational opportunities, rehabilitation and reintegration,
• practical skills in a particular specialty,
• knows how to independently identify and solve problems of education, rehabilitation and reintegration,
• knows a foreign language at the level of language proficiency B2 European Framework of Reference for Languages
QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES cont.
• ability to use modern means of communication.
• graduates are prepared to work as: educator, teacher, teacher or specialist co-organizing inclusive education, special-therapist teacher, specialist teacher of pedagogic, special-therapist teacher.
• graduate is prepared to work in various institutions, including: educational facilities, specialist clinics, care facilities, education and rehabilitation, agendas of social services, health care and rehabilitation facilities, educational, government and judicial agendas.
Preparing for work in education requires the completion of teaching specialty (in accordance with the standards of
education that prepare them to work as a teacher).

• Practice should last not less than 4 weeks.
• Principles and form of practices establishes a unit of the University leading education.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• The education programs should include classes in physical education, foreign languages, technology of information
• Educational programs should include contents expanding the general knowledge in an extent not less than 60 hours, which should be attributed to no less than 3 credits of ECTS
• The education programs should foresee classes on intellectual property protection, occupational health and safety and ergonomics.
• For the preparation of the final exam (including the preparation of the thesis, if it is provided by the program of education), student receives 10 credits of ECTS
SECOND DEGREE STUDIES
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Second-degree studies last not less than four semesters. Number of hours should not be less than 800. The number of credits should not be less than 120.
SECOND DEGREE STUDIES
II. QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATE
• advanced knowledge in humanities and developed a sense of sensitivity to human needs - especially the disabled and requiring assistance in the development, education and social functioning.
• understands the role of theory in meeting pedagogical tasks and is able to independently analyze, interpret and use the knowledge possessed in practice.
• has the ability to create a rational diagnostic contexts, coaching, education, rehabilitation and therapy
• he has knowledge of the basic methodological instruments.
• prepared to participate in research in the area of special education and to take the third degree studies (PhD)
QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATE
• graduates are prepared to work at position: educator, teacher, teacher or specialist co-organizing inclusive education, special teacher-therapist, a specialist-educator, special teacher-therapist.
• graduates are prepared to work in various institutions, including: educational facilities, specialist clinics, care facilities, education and rehabilitation, agendas of social services, rehabilitation, education and local government and health service and the judiciary.
• graduates are prepared to work in educational institutions engaged in research and dissemination of knowledge in the field of special education.
• has ability to cooperate with other professionals, teams and management of educational posts
