The Physical World, the Spiritual World, and Heaven

The physical world, the spiritual world, and heaven, although these three things exist

simultaneously here in this physical world, they are three distinctly different things.

The physical world is everything we can see with our physical eyes or hear with our

physical ears or smell with our physical noses or touch (feel) with our physical body or

taste with our physical mouths.

The spiritual world is where our souls are created and are always connected to while we

are using these physical bodies and where our souls return to when our physical life is

over. The spiritual world appears to be much like the physical world but with a much

higher frequency. This difference in frequency is the gulf that exists between these two

worlds.

Heaven is not a place, although it exists in the same place as the physical and spiritual

worlds, but an action or state of our soul. It is, as Jesus referred to it, the kingdom of God

(where God’s soul resides). When we are in contact with our Creator, we are in heaven.

This condition can be present here in this physical world or in the spiritual world.

In the Bible the word heaven is used for these two different places and the condition of

our souls. When it is referring to the physical sky associated with this earth and all the

planets and stars in the universe, usually the word “the” (the heavens) precedes it.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. When it is

referring to the spiritual world (where our souls were created and where they return after

we leave this physical body) then just the word “heaven” or words “of heaven” are used.

Daniel 7:2 Daniel spoke saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds

of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.” This is the heaven that the churches say we

go to after we die but in reality it is just the spiritual realm. When it is referring to the

condition of our souls, then the words “kingdom of heaven” or “kingdom of God” are

used. Luke 17:20-21 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of

God would come, He answered them and said “The kingdom of God does not come with

observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of

God is within you.” Anytime the Word of God comes to us and we listen to It or we are

close to God, then we are in the kingdom of heaven.

God did not create the physical world to be man’s home. He created man as a spiritual

entity (soul) and placed him in the Garden of Eden which is the highest level of the

spiritual world (realm) that the natural created soul can return to. But when the soul of

man disobeyed God (ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) he was

figuratively kicked out of the Garden and his soul came into the physical world to inhabit

the physical body of the human form which already existed at that time. The physical

human body was not created at the same time as the spiritual soul. They are actually two

separate entities. The soul does not enter the human body until after it is born, but it does

hang around with its future parents while the fetus is developing and knows what is

happening in the physical world. When the soul of man came into the physical world he

could no longer view the Garden of Eden. His vision was obscured by the flaming sword

which God placed between them. This fire is the trials and temptations that each soul

endures during its stay in the physical world, and it keeps us from seeing God, if we let it.

It is the responsibility of each soul to learn the laws and ways of God while on this earth,

and develop its soul so that it can return to the Garden of Eden.

The spiritual world contains the Garden of Eden as well as Hell and all the levels in

between, and it occupies the same space as the physical world, being separated by

frequency only. There have been many reports of persons with near death experiences

(NDE’s) that have visited either heaven or hell or both, and what they remember varies

widely. This is mainly due to the fact that they have entered different levels of the

spiritual realm, but it is also due to their background and beliefs, which affects how souls

perceive things in the spiritual world (this is one way we each create our own heaven and

hell). Within all these NDE’s there are some common remembrances; the feeling of

pleasantness, peace, calmness, serenity and relaxation, or distress, turmoil, fear and being

troubled. These are all spiritual attributes which every soul experiences here in the

physical world, so they can be easily remembered.

Because our souls are always in contact with the spiritual world, even while they reside in

these physical bodies, we can receive messages from other spiritual souls at any time.

Even Jesus had contact with the spirits of Moses and Elijah while He was in His physical

body (Matthew 17:3). Peter, James and John also saw these same spirits. King Saul saw

the spiritual body of Samuel (1 Samuel 28:15) Others in the Bible that received messages

from spiritual souls include Joseph, John of Patmos, Daniel and many others. Just know

who is giving you the message before you believe it.

Do not waste your time and money visiting a psychic medium. Your loved ones are just

as capable of contacting you as they are contacting a medium. Be open to all signs and

feelings that indicate that they are with you, no matter how small or trivial they seem.

The more you practice this openness the stronger the messages will come through.

Doubters and naysayers will say it is all in your mind or you are imagining things. Of

course it is in your mind. Your mind is a major part of your soul, which is the part of you

that will live forever more.

Sometimes disease, like dementia, or damage to the brain (which is a physical organ and

our soul’s (mind’s) main contact point with our physical body) from an accident can

cause our minds to lose some or all control of our physical bodies. But, our souls are

never damaged in those accidents.

Heaven is a state of our soul where we become one with God. John 10:30-36 “I and My

Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered

them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of these works do

you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You,

but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.” Jesus answered

them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? If He called them gods, to

whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him

whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I

said, ‘I am the Son of God’?”

The kingdom of heaven is the kingdom of God. Although God’s Spirit pervades the

entire physical world and the entire spiritual world, including the hells, His Soul resides

in the kingdom of heaven (the Celestial Heavens). All souls will enter some level of the

spiritual world when they leave their physical bodies, but not all souls will enter the

kingdom of heaven. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall

enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will

say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out

demons in your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to

them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” Read all of

Matthew chapter 7. The lawlessness that Jesus was talking about is not the breaking of

the laws of the physical world, but ignoring the spiritual laws of God. Anyone who is

preaching that you only have to confess your sins to Jesus to get into the kingdom of

heaven is ignoring all of God’s laws that He has established to keep His kingdom in

order. All of the people preaching this message will eventually enter the Garden of Eden

but not all will understand the ways of God and enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew

7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads

to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and

difficult is the way which leads to life and there are few who find it.” This life that Jesus

is referring to is a life in the kingdom of God; spiritually partaking of the fruit of the tree

of life (which is becoming more like God by asking Him to fill your soul with His divine

presence).

In the Bible, Jesus talked about the kingdom of heaven (the kingdom of God) more than

any other subject. This kingdom of heaven, along with the Love of God that emanates

from it, is where we should be striving to reach not the spiritual world (heaven) that the

churches and temples and mosques are preaching today.

The rabbis and preachers and Imams of today are only preaching the way into the higher

levels of the spiritual world just as the priests did in Jesus’ day. This is the Old

Covenant. They do not understand the real teachings of Jesus, which is a life in God; the

New Covenant.

In all things, know that God loves you and will lead you back to Him
