Standard Academy Uniform Information

Please note:

Black socks or plain black opaque tights (Patterned or coloured tights are NOT acceptable. Girls may wear plain short white socks may be worn from April - July)

Black Shoes - plain, matt and polished suitable for ‘business wear’ (Plain polished, black and flat. No exceptions, i.e. no ankle boots, shiny shoes, trainers, converse or canvas etc. Kickers are acceptable).

*Items must be purchased from Crossbow Schoolwear (items without asterix can be purchased from other shops, if preferred). Your child will be allocated to one of our houses (Darzi Hunt Jenner Saunders Seacole Yacoub). Crossbow will have this information and will issue ties and/or head scarves accordingly.

Students MUST have a gum shield, shin pads and plain black socks and trainers.

We recommend that all students have plain black moulded plastic football/ rugby boots for the Astroturf - NO metal studs are allowed. Trainers can be worn; however, this does increase the risk of sliding.

These can be bought from the academy shop or the high street.

The following items are available from the academy uniform shop which is open from 8am-4pm in the holidays and 3.30-4.30pm during term time.

Dance Kit: Girls opting to study Dance at KS4 and above, or in Clubs will need to purchase the dance t-shirt below. Trousers are available or long thick black leggings are acceptable. Boys can wear standard P.E. kit.

All students studying P.E. at KS5 will be issued with one of each of the two items below. Additional tops can be purchased from the academy shop if required.

Long sleeved compression tops and shorts are also available for £15.00 each from the academy uniform shop. However, these are not compulsory.

UG P.E. Kit: Team Kit: All children selected to compete in Petchey Academy team sports, across the year groups, will be invited to purchase specific team kit.

The academy is keen for all our students to look smart and professional when representing the academy at sporting fixtures. Therefore, support with team kit is available for children on Free School Meals.

Crossbows accept all major credit cards for purchases with a minimum spend of £10.Regrettably Crossbows no longer accept cheques.

Crossbows will gladly reserve your child’s uniform subject to a deposit.Please shop with your child as early as possible before the new school year commences toensure that Crossbow’s staff are able to give you the best service and attention that they are renowned for.

The academy will issue a uniform voucher to all FSM students at Transition which will cover the cost of their first blazer and tie from Crossbow and P.E. top and shorts from the academy. Please ask at the office for more information.
