“Coaching For Results”Wednesday, September 11, 2013

10:00 AM — 11:30 AM and

Thursday, September 12, 20139:30 AM — 11:00 AM

H ow many coaching conversations have you had with your employ-ees that have resulted in no

change in employee behavior, and wasted time, energy, and frustration by you, the store manager or owner? The failure may not have been what you said, but how you framed the conversation. This session will focus on how to successfully prepare for an employee coaching conversation that leads to positive results: improved employee behavior and job performance, and a whole lot less wasted time and frustration.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

T his year’s presenter will be Terry McKenna. He is an inter-nationally acclaimed speaker

and author on the topic of human capital optimization—transforming human capi-tal into financial capital. Terry’s exper-tise lies in the people side of business—people issues like, Employee Recruiting, Retention and Engagement, as well as, Leadership, Customer Service and Brand Differentiation. Terry’s most recent book, Hire the Best C-Store Employees—

I n t e r v i e w i n g Tactics for Hiring Employees Who Can Actually Make You Money, was a #1 seller at the 2010 National Association of C o n v e n i e n c e Stores (NACS) annual conven-tion. Terry writes a monthly col-umn for National Petroleum News (NPN) and Tobacco

Retailer and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, as well as the Harvard Business School corporate training video, Benchmarking Outside The Box.

Terry is principal and co-founder of Convenience Store Coaches (CSC), a division of Employee Performance Strategies, Inc. (EPS), founded in 1997. CSC is the leading authority in help-ing c-store organizations achieve greater financial results by optimizing employee job performance. CSC develops high- performance work forces through train-ing, consulting and process improve-ment. Unlike other service providers CSC is unique in that no other company has the depth and breadth of experience in understanding and relating to c-store operators and their employees like CSC, due to their extensive history and exclu-sive focus on the convenience industry.

Prior to founding EPS, Terry worked

T his year on 9/11, as we reflect on America’s challenges and its great opportunities, we will begin the first day of the 11th annual Southern Convenience Store and Petroleum SHOW.

Since they will be offered simultaneously, be sure to indicate which of the programs you would like to attend.
