The first shoot will not have a Sunday breakfast but will have a count at the oval on Sunday 10 Feb at 8:30am. The March shoot will be followed by a breakfast, provided by the LCDC, at the Community Building at 8:30am on Sunday 10 March. Presentations will follow the breakfast. Please register your teams with Rowlie Mellor, 0429 451 439 or [email protected]. QUIZ NIGHT This Saturday night! It’s not too late to book a table, or even just a seat or two. $10 per person, “back to school” dress up theme. Prizes to be won and fun to be had all night long. QUAIRADING “BRANDING” PRESENTATIONS Monday 11 February, 3pm—5:15pm at the CRC. Following along from Market Creations visit in October, three other companies have been invited to present to Council on how we best develop a brand for the Shire of Quairading going forward into the future. All interested community members are also warmly invited to attend and hear the presentations from the other quoting suppliers. FIRST AID COURSE Sunday 17 February, 8:30am— 4:30pm at the Quairading Sub Centre, a Provide First Aid (HLTDAID003) course will be held. Enrol early to ensure your place for the course and to allow adequate time to complete the required reading beforehand. For enrolments and further information phone (08) 9621 1613 or https://stjohnwa.com.au/first-aid- training/first-aid-courses KIMCHI WORKSHOP Saturday 9 March, 9am—12pm at the Quairading CRC. Kimchi is sauerkraut's flavoursome Korean cousin. Come along to the CRC for an interactive and informative fermentation workshop by Janet Robertson from Nourishabley. Please bring with you a large glass mixing bowl, large knife, chopping board and wooden spoon. Jars, ingredients and morning tea will be supplied. $30 per person, bookings essential. Call or email the Quairading CRC. BIKE AROUND THE BUSH Tuesday 19 March, 3pm—6pm at the Quairading Nature Reserve. A refreshing change of venue for this year’s Bike Week event. Bring your family and meet us at the Nature Reserve for a spot of Bike Ed before exploring the trails within the reserve on a nature inspired scavenger hunt. Enclosed shoes, water and sun protection are a must, magnifying glasses, cameras and curiosity are encouraged! There will be prizes and a sausage sizzle to follow. $2 participation per person. Please RSVP to the Quairading CRC by Friday 15 March. CASINO BUS TRIP Tuesday 16 April. A coach will pick you up and return you to Quairading for $25 per person. QUAIRADING CWA COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP Quairading CWA are offering a Community Scholarship for a child aged 6-15 undertaking external study in music, art, dance, martial arts training or other courses. This first scholarship will cover the cost of lessons for a 12 month period with a review on completion. Applications in writing outlining your particular course and cost as well as a short resume should be forwarded addressed to: CWA Scholarship PO Box 169, Quairading, 6383 by the 24 February 2019. CURTAIN RAISERS 2019 We are getting ready for the upcoming production and are looking for any dressmakers dummies that might be looking for a new home.
