Out of an abundance of caution this flu season, and aware of concerns about the Coronavirus, Bishop DiMarzio is suspending the distribution of Holy Communion under both forms within the Diocese until further notice. So, at Communion time, only the Sacred Host will be offered—until the Bishop advises us to resume both forms.

Dear Friends,

If we did not realize it before, or if sometimes we seem to forget,

today’s Gospel should remind us that God has a dream for us. Not

only that, God holds us in high esteem!

Jesus says, “You are the salt of the earth….You are the light of the

world.” So Jesus sees in each one of us great potential—to be his

witnesses. How we live, what we say and do, makes a difference in

the life of the world. God has placed such goodness in us, such a

love for others, that if we use the time and the gifts we have been

given, God’s name will be praised! We bring light…but we’re not

looking for the spotlight. For all that we have comes from God.

May Christ’s light shine through us!
