Mt. Carmel Church: Our “Aging” Mother!
The heart of Mt. Carmel Parish is our beautiful
church building. We have worshipped here for over 102 years.
The church building, like any building that ages, is in need of some serious maintenance.
Our church steeples are experiencing age-related problems. The mortar between many of the
bricks has disintegrated. During major storms, water comes in and the water has been rusting some of the support structures. The water can
also damage our magnificent organ! If we do not address this problem, there will be a danger that
the steeples will become unstable and dangerous. Some churches have been faced
with the chore of removing their steeples.
The “Good News” is that THIS SITUATION CAN BE FIXED!
The “Bad News” is that it costs money.
The estimate on the project is $ 250,000.00.
The Finance Committee has met several times to decide on a coarse of action. It was decided that
we would ask each registered family in the parish to pledge $ 250.00 toward the project.
(We have over 1,000 families registered at OLMC. With 100 percent cooperation, the goal will be met. )
Next week you will receive a mailing outlining the need and asking for a commitment of
$ 250.00. You will have an opportunity to make that as a
one time payment of $ 250.00 or, if more convenient, $ 50.00 payments over a
period of 5 months. Some people will not be able to make a donation of $ 250.00 at this time. That is understandable.
Any amount would be helpful! Some people might be able to, and might want
to, donate more than $ 250.00. That would be greatly appreciated!
Together, we will care for “Mom!”

Kościół Matki Bożej Szkaplerznej: “Matka w podeszłym wieku”!
Sercem parafii Matki Bożej Szkaplerznej jest nasz piękny kościół. Oddajemy w nim cześć Bogu już ponad 102 lata. Budynek kościoła,
podobnie jak jakikolwiek budynkek, z biegiem czasu, potrzebuje poważnych prac
konserwacyjnych.
Nasze wieże zostały naruszone przez “ząb czasu”. Spoiny między wielu cegłami uległy
wykruszeniu. Podczas dużych opadów deszczu woda powoduje rdzewienie niektórych struktur
wsparcia.
(Mamy ponad 1000 zapisanych rodzin w OLMC. Jeśli 100 procent odpowie pozytywnie cel zostanie
osiągniety.)
Wkrótce, otrzymją Państwo list wyjaśniający możliwość włączenia się w realizację projektu. Doskonale zdajemy sobie sprawę z trudności
finansowych. Dlatego też ofiarę $ 250,00 jeśli to będzie bardziej wygodne, można złożyć w 5 ratch po $50,00 miesięcznie. Niektórzy mogą mieć możliwość i chęć ofiarowania wiekszej
sumy niż $ 250,00. Każda kwota będzie pomocna!
Za ofiary już z góry dziękuję
Dbajmy razem o “Mamę” Prałat Ron - Proboszcz
