Conflict I think the conflict is whenever johny

killed bob because everything revolves around that night like when the church fire or johny dyeing. That was the most scary part it makes you want to read on.

Summary of Plot The movie is about a town split between the rich South Zone

gang called 'The Socials' and the poor North Zone gang called 'The Greasers'. Dallas , Ponyboy and Johnny from 'The Greasers' are friends with the rich girl Cherry Valance and Marcia at a drive-in. Later that night, a group of 'The Socs' chase and beat up Johnny and attempt to drown Ponyboy in a fountain. Seeing that, Johnny stabs one Soc and kills him, saving Ponyboy. The desperate boys look for Dallas who finds a hideout for them in a nearby town. One week later, Johnny and Ponyboy decide to return to their hometown, with Dallas, to claim the murder as self-defense. But on their way back, they see the church on fire and Ponyboy and Johnny help the children trapped in the church and become heroes. However Johnny is badly injured and confined to the hospital. Meanwhile The Socs and The Greasers prepare to fight in the rumble.

Point of View It is in first person because it talks about how only ponyboy is feeling and what his thoughts were it helps me understand exactly what is going to the character’s mind I think it would have been messy is it was a different point of view it would be who was talking and who wasn’t,

SymbolismI think the story symbolizes sunsets because ponyboy frequently talked about sunsets to cherry valance and before the rumble and after Bob’s death he used the idea of sunsets to dissolve the pain.

Recommendation I think everyone should read this book

because people in middle school or high school I think they can relate to it with all the bullying and teasing that some kids go through.
