Lead by University of Seville

12-month project aimed to deliver ORCID accounts to every researcher affiliated with 9 CBUA unis

Additional goals : ORCID iD integration into IRs (all-DSpace network) and institutional/regional CRISs

Libraries to take leading roles in reaching out to Research Faculties/Depts/Groups

Relevant overlapping with other organisational networks, eg Spanish National Research Council (CSIC)

Andalusian Research Information System (SICA2) a Key Project Asset, https://sica2.cica.es/

SICA2 holds wide-reaching research information for every research institution (and researcher) in Andalusia : people, organisations, projects, outputs (CERIF approach)

Opportunities for (i) ORCID iD integration in SICA2 and (ii) two-way information exchange for publications and funded research projects

SICA2 Regional CRIS

Pilot work at U Cádiz

Adequate coordination of involved institutional units (Library, Research Office, VC Office, Communication)

Creation of ORCID webpage at Library site & good communication strategy with researchers

ORCID account creation by Research Departments, starting out with STM areas

Library-led project planning, monitoring and reporting

Page 8: The ORCID_CBUA Project: A Consortium-Based Approach to ORCID Adoption

Coordination: first steps

Project team with reps from every involved University Library under U Seville coordination

Creation of ORCID_CBUA project wiki and technical discussion group

First round of ORCID training sessions carried out early Sep'2014

Discussions started on what resources to share (dissemination materials, ORCID webpages & FAQ lists?) and which ones should be institution-specific
