MissionThe mission of The Orchard Foundation is to raise funds for education oriented organizations.

Our efforts are especially geared toward aiding agencies and organizations that work to improve the lives and futures of at risk youth.

VisionOur vision is that every child, regardless of race, ethnicity or socioeconomic background, will be able to pursue his or her goals and have equal access to the full range of higher educational opportunities.

Beneficiaries

The Anchor Program (TAP):A non-profit 501(c)3 service organization that provides vocational and life skills training to at-risk youth and young adults. The primary goal of the program is to prepare participants for positions in the maritime industry (e.g. Merchant Marine).

Upon completion of the program, participants will be equipped with the basic knowledge and skills to begin a professional career and become productive members of their communities.

In 2 1/2 years TAP trained over 150 people to work in the maritime industry. More than 80 percent have landed jobs that typically pay $45,000 a year or more.

Alamo Elementary School:In 2009, Alamo attained an API score of 849. Due to budget concerns Alamo is in danger of being closed. It is our hope that we can prevent the closure of this great school by partnering with the PTA to raise the funds necessary to keep them open.
