Today’s Worship Plan

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 “...Whoever sows sparingly will also reap also sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”… Please notice the offering box in the entranceway; where we cheerfully place our offerings in the collection box. Your contributions to God help us preach the Gospel here in Cedar Key, around the world and carry out works of benevolence to the glory of Christ our Lord.

Welcome Visitors and Members! We hope that your experience today will add something meaningful to your life in Christ Jesus. If you are new to the area and would like more information about this church, let us know. If you are just visiting our island community, then we hope to see you again.

Would you like to confess your faith in Jesus Christ and repent of your sins today? Come forward during the last song and we will assist you in obeying Christ as Lord – or let us know your desire some other time. We can arrange a time for your baptism into Christ. If you are a Christian and wandered away from home with the Lord, you may make your desire known and we will pray for God to forgive your sins, and fully restore you to Jesus Christ and joyful fellowship with other Christians.

Share the Good News! Free Bible studies and much more are available at our congregation’s web site Cedar Key Church of Christ. We also have the church’s weekly Bulletin on

our web site.

Bible question: Who should desire to purify themselves? (1 John 3:3)Christians Live With Eye On Future

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (1 Peter 1:13 NKJV)

It seems like marijuana is the drug of choice for many people wanting to be free of pain or just want to feel high. Some folks have the will power to pursue a better life with faith and courage to say NO to street drugs and those who push them.

Christians are promised an inheritance so fabulous that it cannot be compared with any earthly inheritance. Children who are heirs of large fortunes should be prepared by the donor to learn practicing self-control in order to enjoy and preserve the inheritance for their own loved ones. In the same way Christians must live in such a way that we enjoy being heirs by learning to live the way God our Father expects from us. Peter writes to remind us that we may face intense persecution because of our faith – but it is nothing when compared to our reward of eternal life with God, other heavenly beings and all the saved of every generation.

(1:13) Dedicate ourselves to being God’s people now. (1:14) Refuse to be dominated by old passions that stunt our growth as people of God. We must continue to grow or else…(1:15 – 16) God is holy and we must be holy. (Lev. 11:44) Are we satisfied with being holy ½ the time? (Romans 6:12)(17-18) We must live with a sense of awe. Inspiration comes from God’s love for us, and the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sins so that we could be part of Family of God. (1:22-25) Time is of the essence! As heirs of God, time short because our lifespan is very short by comparison with eternity. Our souls are purified by obedience to the truth. V. 22. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) The Main points of doctrine they obeyed are the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ, which are all according to Scriptures.(Romans 6:12-18) When a repentant person of faith in the doctrine of Christ is baptized they are preparing for the future.
