RESTORECORPS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES RestoreCorps, a partner in ministry with Immanuel Lutheran Church, has a number of volunteer opportunities available. The mission of RestoreCorps is to eradicate human trafficking by empowering survivors, equipping communities, and seeking justice through systemic change. Volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to serving as a Christ connector, prayer/intercessor, errand runner, Lives Worth Saving volun-teer, meal preparation and delivery, career readiness ally, faith and finance ally, child care and homework, drivers, and manual labor as needs arise. A detailed list of volun-teer opportunities for RestoreCorps is available on the Information Desk in Immanuel’s church lobby. To volunteer or for more information about volunteer opportunities at Restore Corps, please contact Laura Trevino, Volunteer Coordinator at Restore Corps, at [email protected]. MEMPHIS UNION MISSION-SATURDAY, APRIL 29 Immanuel will be preparing and serving lunch and leading the chapel service at the Memphis Union Mission on Saturday, April 29. We need 10 people to serve on the Lunch Preparation Team and 20 people to serve on the Lunch Serving Team. The Lunch Preparation Team needs to be at Immanuel at 8:45 AM and the Lunch Serving Team needs to be at Immanuel at 10:00 AM in the church parking lot on April 29. You can volunteer by signing up on the sheet on the Information Desk in the church lobby or by contacting Ed Mell at [email protected] or 849-2751. An information sheet with more details about this event is available on the Information Desk. ROZE ART SHOW ON FRIDAY, APRIL 28 will be at the Art Village Gallery at 410 South Main St. from 6:30 until 8:30pm. The benefit is for the West TN Veterans Home which will be built close to Memphis. This show is in memory of my husband, Major Walter J. Klimek, who served for 28 years in the Marine Corp during World War II, the Korean War, & the Vietnam War. He was the radio voice that supported raising of matching funds for this important cause. Vet-erans who need nursing home care have to be on a waiting list and travel hundred of miles to find proper housing. This is not good for the families who have to deal with travel problems or the veterans who need the support of their loved ones.

CALL COMMITTEE FOR ASSOCIATE PASTOR Names are now being received from the congregation of men you would like the commit-tee to consider as the new associate. In keeping with our constitution and by-laws, those names must be received in writing in the church office by Monday, April 17, 2017. We will then deliver these names to the District Office for the President’s review. We will keep the congregation abreast of the progress of the committee’s work as we move through this process. Please pray with and for our Call Committee as they search for Immanuel’s new associ-ate pastor. The Lord already has the right man in mind, and is preparing him to accept this calling to live and serve with us in Memphis, Tennessee! EGGS, CANDY, GIFT CARDS NEEDED FOR EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA Immanuel will be hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza for our community, including our church and school families, on Saturday, April 15 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. on our cam-pus and we need your help. We need 2,500 large plastic eggs and candy but nothing with peanuts or peanut butter. We also need $5 gift cards from Walmart for our larger special prize eggs. We will stuff the plastic eggs with candy if they are not purchased as stuffed eggs. Please leave the eggs, candy, and gift cards in the labeled box in our church lobby by no later than April 8. Thanks so much for your help! CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY ST. PAUL CHORUS The Concordia University St. Paul Christus Chorus will be giving a concert in our sanctu-ary on Monday, April 10 at 7pm. Their musically diverse program will be designed to be specific to Holy Week and will be a great way to start off this important week in our church year. The concert is free and open to the public so please invite family, friends, and neighbors to come. A freewill offering will be taken for the choir if you would like to participate.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA We need volunteers to help with a variety of fun activities that will be happening as part of the Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 15 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Immanuel’s campus. You can help with registration, face painting, crafts, popcorn, cot-ton candy, and in the parking lot. You can volunteer by signing up on the sheet on the Information Desk in the church lobby or by contacting Ed Mell at [email protected] or 849-2751. You will be contacted by Ed about the specific things we need your help with in these areas. Thanks in advance for helping make this event possible.

MUSICIANS Our evening service, 5:11 is still in need of musicians to play. We are looking for teachable, and willing musicians for a more contemporary worship setting.
