We are excited to share with you about an opportunity for your child to receive supplemental reading support for four weeks this summer. Appalachian State University will have a satellite reading clinic at Parkway again this year. This clinic provides reading graduate students with practice in using their skills in teaching reading. They tutor the students in a one on one setting under the supervision of a reading specialist. They are able to work on exactly the skills that each child needs. This clinic was a huge success last year, and it benefited 17 Parkway stu-dents in grades K-7. Below is the specific information about the clinic for this summer.

SUMMER READING CLINIC AT PARKWAY Tuesday, June 18 through Thursday, July 11 (no tutoring on July 4) Monday-Thursday only, no Fridays Session times: 9:30-10:30 OR 11:00-12:00 Parents must commit to having their children at ALL sessions. The cost is only $50 for the entire clinic. The fee may be waived if needed. Please contact Shelly Campbell at [email protected] or 264-3032 if you are in-terested or if you have questions. If you would like to sign up directly, please use the link for Parkway's online clinic application form: https://forms.gle/TTaoAsch1dqHfvzq6 Spots will fill up quickly and we want to give Parkway students the first priority.
