What would you like to hear about at an upcoming Rotary meeting? Do you have associates working in fascinating fields that Rotarians should know about? Or maybe simply a friend with an interesting hobby, who’s words may enrich our lives? If you can answer any of these questions please contact Programs Chairman Dave Bagish! Dave is always on the lookout for Speakers for our Breakfast’s and Luncheons, and he can’t do it without our help! So please, give it some thought and pass on your ideas to him as soon as pos-sible!

The Every Rotarian, Every Year effort encourages Rotarians worldwide to participate fully in their Rotary Foun-dation. Our Club President, Glenn Garth, has made the Every Rotarian,

Every Year effort one of our goals of this 2008-2009 Rotary year. We en-courage every Club member to make a $100 donation to the Rotary Founda-tion for this Rotary year. Tom Lanahan has accepted the responsibil-ity of leading this effort. He will be collecting your checks, or please let him know if you have already made a contribution for the 2008-2009 Rotary Year. Checks should be made payable to “The Rotary Foundation.”

Remember Tom has the hard part... he has to ask you for your check... you have the easy part, just write out the check! If you have any special circum-stances that might prevent you from participating in this effort, please con-tact Tom.

Contributions to the Annual Programs Fund ensure a brighter future for all. Imagine how much more good we could do with the participation of Every Rotarian, Every Year.

Morristown

Town-Wide

Cleanup

Saturday, April 18, 2008 is the 19th annual Town-wide Clean-up. The Morristown Rotary Club helped initiate this impor-tant litter reduction program 30 years ago. Its roll is to promote a clean and beautiful Morris-town. Our Club’s support of this effort has been better these last two years, we fielded a decent size clean-up crew each year; but we’d still like to see more Rotarians out there! We encourage all Morristown Ro-tarians and their families to come out and help make our town even more beautiful! We will be meeting at the Town Hall parking lot (200 South Street) at 9:00am. You will be supplied with all work materi-als, a commemorative t-shirt, and refreshments, and are only asked for 1-2 hours of your time. Please note this event is generally rain or shine, how-ever there is a tentative rain date of Sunday the 19th in case of heavy rain.

If you have not yet paid your first quarter meals bill, you are now past due! Please re-mit ASAP. Also, if you don’t see Liz at a meeting to hand her your check, please drop it in the mail to her home address which is on your invoice. Handing it to another club member to deliver to Liz delays the process of having your payment registered, in some cases substantially!

Happy Birthdays to all!

Interesting triviality: February is the short-

est month of the year, but contains to most

Morristown Rotarian Birthdays! Go figure...

Congratulations

Scott! (We Think)

Congratulations to Scott Rosenbush on his swearing in as Mayor of Morris Township. As he serves in a Township form of govern-ment he retains his Committee seat; so there is no fear that Scott will try to sell his seat in Blagojevich fashion! Although it is safe to assume the 4-way test would have steered our good Rotarian friend in the right direc-tion regardless. Good luck Scott!
