The objective of this activity is for you to define the key characteristics of 13 physiographic features.

*Take out 2-3 pieces of lined paper and those using a notebook may. *Write each feature in this order on your paper. *Skip three lines between each word.

1. Bay 8. Delta2. Hills 9. Strait3. Isthmus 10. Plateau4. Peninsula 11. Canyon5. Mountain 12. Island6. Gulf 13. Sound7.Valley

Step 1.

Step 2.Each slide will have at least one picture of a physiographic feature and a title. With your shoulder partner, study each picture. Notice where the water and the land are in relation to each other.

Step 3.Read the statements on the slide. Some statements are correct and some are not correct. Study the picture or pictures closely to help you and your partner decide which statements are correct. Step 4.With your partner, use the correct statements to write your own complete definition of each feature on your paper in your ISN. As much as possible, use your own words.Step 5With your face partners, select the best definitions of the two. Make changes if necessary. Write it on your 11x17 T-chart.
