INFO & FYI’sYou may have noticed a few new faces in the Blue Jays lineup this season... Below are a few of these players that you might recognize:

Drew Storen #45This relief pitcher comes to the Blue Jays from the Washington Nationals in exchange for outfielder Ben Revere. Storen made his Major League debut on May 17, 2010 where he retired two batters in 2/3 of an inning. He is known to throw three pitches: a four-seam fastball, two-seam fastball and a slider. We’re excited to have you, Drew!

J.A HAPP #33You may think that this starting pitcher looks familiar. That’s because he is rejoining the Blue Jays after spending the 2015 season playing with both the Seattle Mariners and Pittsburgh Pirates! If you’re wondering, the J.A. stands for James Anthony, but he prefers the short form pronounced “Jay”. Welcome back, J.A.!

Jesse Chavez #30Jesse is also a return player to the Blue Jays. After spending most of the 2012 season with the Blue Jays, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics, where he spent time as both a starting pitcher and a reliever. Chavez rejoined the Blue Jays in exchange for Liam Hendriks as part of a trade with Oakland in November 2015. Excited to have you back, Jesse!

Darwin barney #18Darwin joined the Blue Jays in September 2015 where he appeared in 15 games for the team and hit 2 home runs! Unfortunately, since he was acquired after September 1, he wasn’t eligible to play in the Blue Jays’ first postseason appearance in 22 years. We can’t wait to see what 2016 will bring! Welcome to the team, Darwin!
