• The Numeracy Challenge is a weekly challenge that is offered to all pupils in Saint Bede’s

• They vary in difficulty but are meant to be accessible to all pupils.

• The aim of the Numeracy Challenge is to draw on the different Maths skills pupils are developing and learning.

Your Numeracy Challenge;

• Before September complete as many of the challenges as you can.

• When you start Saint Bede’s submit your work to Mr Binns, he will award you points for each challenge you have attempted and further points for solving each challenge correctly.

• Those with the highest number of points will receive Being a Bede rewards.

Pupils in Mr Binns’ Mathematics class went far and wide during the summer holidays in 2014. The furthest someone travelled was 5520 miles to Puerta Vallerta in Mexico. The shortest someone travelled was 40 miles to the Westmorland Show. How many times would you have to go to Westmorland and back to go the same distance as travelling to Puerta Vallerta?
