Challenges to Chesapeake Bay1. Pollution of the land around Chesapeake Bay

threatens the bay’s fish and shellfish.2. Some factories around the bay dump waste onto

the land polluting the soil. When it rains or snows, the polluted soil washed into that drain into the bay.

3. Pollution also harms the natural habitat, making it difficult for fish to reproduce. This results in a decrease in their numbers.

4. Overfishing also challenges the balance of life in the bay.
