IQRAR KHAN (VC-UAF) & ZAFAR IQBAL (CEO-THE NGO WORLD) SIGNED AN MOU DR TANVEER LODHI AND DR BABAR SHAHBAZ WERE THE CO SIGNATORY Khanewal (19 April 2013): The farmer-outreach and agriculture extension systems in Pakistan face major challenges of cost-effective outreach and need based extension. The weak linkage between extension, research and farmers limits the effectiveness of agricultural research and extension to contribute towards the agricultural development. In this context, this online agricultural information portal and Village Information Centre or VIC (cyber extension units) will be established by The NGO World (Barkat Project) in collaboration with the Institute of Agri.
