• Vegetarian capsules are made from plant based materials.

• They contain no animal by-products, and are free from gluten, gluesand solvents. They contain no chemical additives or traces of antibiotics.

• They are Kosher and Halal certified, and have GRAS status confirmed by US FDA.

Applications

Our vegetarian capsules are made of carrageenan derived from Red Algae. Red Algae contain cellulose and gelatinous polysaccharide compounds which give the capsules their characteristic stability. Other ingredients include: modified starch sourced from corn, glycerin from palm oil and purified water with BP standard.

Vegetarian capsules can be used to encapsulate a wide range of substances. They are a natural choice for oil products and suspensions. Our vegetarian range covers our bestselling products, which have been so far available in softgel capsules.

Our vegetarian capsules have superior moisture resistance properties to gelatine capsules. Unlike gelatine capsules, vegetarian ones do not tend to form cross-linked bonds, which results in high stability and well-defined dissolution profiles. Our vegetarian soft capsules have good thermostability and retain their shape and integrity even at 50o C.
