SoundTree has been a corporate partner with the VH1-Save the Music Project for the past five years.

They provide all of the equipment for the keyboard labs installed across the country.

In addition to the equipment, SoundTree provides the teachers who use the keyboard labs with comprehensive training and technical support.

Origins

The VH1 teachers expressed concerns about how/what to teach in a setting that they were unfamiliar with.

They needed practical lesson plans that could be taught “straight out of the box”.

Reflected on my personal experiences teaching in a keyboard lab.

Included only classroom tested lesson plans that worked for me.

Rationale

Give teachers with various levels of technical expertise successful lesson plans that show how a keyboard lab can be used in the music classroom.

Give teachers ideas on how to use the keyboard lab to implement their own curriculum.

Adaptability.
