• Theshoulderjointismostlyinjuredduringgrappling,
however,musclestrainsareevidentafteroveruse.
• Anteriorandposteriordislocationsoccuroccasionally.
RotatorCuffTear
Knee
• Thekneejointisexposedineverysportandistrainedto
absorbalargeamountofforce.
• However,abluntdirectimpacttothekneejointorsudden
directionalmovementsthatarecompulsoryinMMAcan
causeligamenttears.
• ACLtearsarecommoninmanysportsandPCLtearsarerare.
• MMAalsofollowsthesametrend,however,PCLtearsare
seenoftenaswell.
