NCDA recap:Dodgeball Nationals

Is Fresh Foods really food?

Western Kentucky dodgeball is more than just a club. It’s a group of friends who all have a common goal: fun. Ev-

ery member who attended the NCDA Nationals understood how much fun can really be had when playing dodgeball. WKU finished their tourna-ment play 3-2, winning over Univer-sity of DePaul of Chicago, Ohio State University, and Towson University of Maryland. The Hilltoppers’ only losses were to Kent State University of Ohio and to Saganaw Valley of Michigan, the reigning champions of the league. Alex Sorrels (see photo above) is currently the captain of the WKU Dodgeball team. He holds practices at the Preston Center on Sundays at 6 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. “Overall, we did very well,” said Sorrels. “This season’s record was the best record we’ve had in school history, and I couldn’t be any more proud of this team.” Two of the best seniors on the team, J.D. Gilliam and Jared McKin-ney, will be graduating and leaving the team this year. “They are a valu-able asset to this team,” said Sorrels. “But I have faith that we can recruit new members and train our team to be even better for the upcoming sea-son.”

FIRE ALARM IN MINTON!! OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN! I REPEAT, OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN!

Third Floor Minton @3rdFloorMinton

BREAKING MINTON (AP) - War has been declared on the 4th bathroom stall grafitti. BSA seen trying to remove some grafitti from walls.

Fresh Foods. This campus bastion of the all-you-can-eat has long been criticized as the ultimate example of the quantity versus quality debate. While the odds of there actual-ly being workers who fell into the meat grinder in the meatloaf are slim, Fresh jokes are constant and easy humor. So who would stand up for Fresh and fight for the weak? Third Floor Resident James “The Don” Kemp, that’s who. “It seriously ruins my day when Fresh is closed,” said Kemp. “If I can’t go to Fresh after I work out, I can’t have milk for my protein shake. I have to maximize my protein intake when it comes to meat without compromising on carbs. Carbs equal sugary fat. Without Fresh all my gains would be gone.” Wow. That’s pretty serious, serious just like Kemp who can totally bench 165 pounds and says it wouldn’t be possible without the Fresh Food company. So what does Kemp have to say about the naysayers? “Dude, all the best chicks are at Fresh. By the way, this roasted chicken is hhhhheavenly.”

Resident of the month:Chase Thomas

as the best Bond film since the days of Sean Connery. A classic-style Bond villain, the first real support team at MI-6, and acknowledging the past while pushing toward the future make the movie insanely fun.

Continued from Page A1

The movie isn’t without faults. There area couple of slow momen-ts that drag and you can have a few slow mo-ments that build tension, give you some ex-position, and let you care for the character. However, a couple of these are out of place. Luckily they are few and far between, and don’t do much to damage the film as a whole. Overall, Skyfall is a must-see for all James Bond fans, especially those who have stuck with the character through fifty years of film. But Skyfall is also a must-see for both modern and classic action fans. Skyfall is the Bond of the future, and a Bond of the past.
