Meet the Bishop and Charge Conference

We have a lot happening on Sunday, November 13. Of course, we have Sunday school at 10 am and Worship

at 11 am. If you aren’t currently in a Sunday school class, I hope you will consider joining one. I know our

current classes would love to have you.

The worship service is a great time to invite a neighbor, friend or family member to experience the love and

fellowship at Metter UMC.

And following the service on the 13th, we will have lunch to help offset the costs of the Christmas Dinner

which is Monday, December 5. The lunch is $5 per person and $15 for a family.

Later that afternoon at 2 pm at Pittman Park UMC in Statesboro, the laity of the Northeast District are

invited to meet our new Bishop, Rev. Lawson Bryan. He and his wife, Sherrill, are from Montgomery,

Alabama. He will be speaking to all the laity of the district.

Following the time with the Bishop, there will be a Cluster Charge Conference at 4 pm at Pittman Park UMC.

Our church will be participating. This will be a time for our church to celebrate past ministry and look

forward to future ministry.

The 13th is a busy day, and there are plenty of busy days ahead of us as we enter the Holiday Season. I hope

you will take part in the wonderful events and activities planned. But I also hope and pray you find time to

pause and reflect on all the many blessings God has given us!

God Bless!

Pastor Allen
