Today – after more than 30 years of breeding Arabian Horses – Calbar Arabians is among the most experienced and successful Arabian Breeding Farms in the world. Calbar Arabians is still pursuing the original goal: Creating the most

beautiful and perfect Arabian horse.

It was the passion and love for the Purebred Arabian Horse that lead to the foundation of Calbar Arabians. And it was the Arabian horse that brought Margit and Gosta Heitmann together creating the family behind Calbar Arabians.

In creating the ultimate Arabian horse, the Heitmann Family choose among all WAHO approved bloodlines thus matching the individual horses rather than the pedigree. The family is always looking for the perfect match of Sire and Dam.

Not dictated by so called straight bloodlines such as Egyptian, Polish, Russian and others.

Mr. Heitmann says: “We do not limit ourselves to small parts of the Arabian bloodlines but consider all WAHO approved bloodlines. In fact there is no such thing as country named straight bloodlines.”

Calbar Arabians breeding program has through the years produced numerous top results in the Show Ring as well as outstanding wins in dressage, western riding and distance riding proving that the beautiful and charismatic Arabian is

the perfect horse for any purpose.

After winning titles such as Best in Show, Champions, Reserve Champions, Gold-Silver and Bronze Champions and class winners in the show ring and high rank placements in dressage, race, western and endurance in the performance ring,

the Heitmann Family is still dedicated to participate in National and International shows with the Calbar horses.

Calbar Arabians is located in the southern part of Jutland in Denmark not far from the German border. It is the ideal place for horses. Surrounded by forest and rolling meadows with beautiful Arabian Horses playing and grazing it creates

a picturesque frame around the estate and the family. The beauty and harmony of Calbar Arabians is striking.

Camilla, Jessica and Christina are the daughters of Margit and Gosta Heitmann and the future of Calbar Arabians. Margit Heitmann passed away in February 2011 taken by cancer. She will always be remembered. Her kindness,

hospitality and skill made her an institution within the world of Arabian breeding.
