Chapter IThe Sun ('lot hed Wnman

A preacher in Louisiana told some people, "I know who themall child is". He turned to I Corinthians l4 :~() and read:"Howbeit in malice be ye ch ildren, but ill underst.anding bemen." He said that proved that we are the man child. But ittakes more than that to show who the mall child is.

Hef'ore we tan discuss the mall child, we must first see whothe woman is. Turn to ltevelatlon chapter twelve and read:What is the zreat wonder in heaven ? It is a woman clothedwith the sun. The moon is under her feet. A crown of twelvestars is on her head. She is with child, travailing in birt h.pained to be delivered.

Likened l'ntu a WomanThe church in the wilderness is likened to a woman. That is

Cod's true church. The Lord said that lIe had likened thE:'da ugh tel' of Zion to a comely and a del ita te woman. I Ie didnot sa~' that the church is a woman. l Ie must "liken" the churchto something. so He chose to "liken" her to a woman. God al-ways compares spiritual things to natural thing, so we canunderxtaud ( Jer. ():~).

"Fear not; for thou shalt not 11e ashamed: neither be thouconfounded ; fur thou shalt 1I0t be put to shame: for thou shaltforget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember thereproach of thy widowhood anv more. For thy Maker is thinehusband; the Lord of I lost i.'i his name; and thy Redeemer theHolv One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he becalled. For the Lurd hast called thee as a woman forsaken andgrieved ill spirit, and a wife of thv youth, when thou wast re-fused, sai th thy God"" (Isa. :)-1:-1-6).

As you read many Scriptures the church is sometimes"likened" unto a bride, a wife, a virsrin, or a virgin that isespoused. In the twelfth chapter of Revelation she is travail-ing wit h child. That does not mean that she is not a virg in.

III speakillg of .Jacob's trouble the Lord is speak inz of theend time, as we shall see later, lere he likens the saints inthe end time as it woman in t ravail. but still reveals that theymay be men,

In Revelation Twelve the woman is ill travail. but beforethe chapter is ended We see that she is a company of people, including" men. (verses in and 11). Thus we prove the Scrip-tures by the :){:l'iptures. "By two or three witnesses we leteach word be established" (II COl'. 1:~:1).

Look at the true believers in the end time, even the time ofthe ant ichrist, ami See what Cod likens them to: "For' your-selves know p-rfectlv that the day of the Lord ::;0 cometh asa thief in the nig-ht. For when they shall say, Peace andsafety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travailupon a woman with child; and they shall not escape" (I Thes.5:1-2).

The reason this is likened to a woman in travail it is pain-ful. It is sudden. It is unavoidable. There is no USe prayingthat these tribulations will not tome. We must pray that wecan be Overcomers ill that day. There will be tribulationsworse than the world has ever known.

Like Mary, the Mother of Jesus, that which is conceived ill heris of the Holy Ghost. It is going to be a miracle child. It will bea supernatural birth,

Both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament thechurch is likened unto a woman, God does 1I0t have two db-tinct churches ! God's people in Old Testament times werecalled the "church in the wilderness". Those people trusted illJesus, His blood washed away their sins. His stripes healedthem. (Lsa ;':).5). The blood of bulls and goats could not takeaway sin (Heb. 10:4), Yet David said his iniquities wereforgiven. (Ps. 103.3), Their sins Were forgiven as they lookedforward to the cross. Our sins are forgiven as we luok back-ward to the cross. Je::H1S died for the sins of all the world.

He that was a Jew outwardly was not a Jew. (Jnlv thepeople who art' circumcized at heart are Jews (Rom. ~ :2~

In the Old TestamentIt would take a large book to show all the Scriptures

world empires until now. Antichr-ists: empire is to be next. The tell kingdoms under the last empire, and the ten toe"on the image Daniel saw, mean the same. So we have not yet

come to the end of the Gentile Supremacy.Since John saw, in Revelation Twelve, the dragon and the

woman. they have been in existence since the first empire,Babylon.

The battle between the woman and the dragon began longago."And Iwill put enmity between thee and the woman. andbetween thv seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, andthou shalt bruise his heel". The dragon represents the wholeperiod of history. The dragon caused Cain to slay his brother. He causedJoseph to be sold by his brethren. He caused Pharaoh to tryto slay Moses, He caused King Herod to seek to kill Jesus. Hecaused Nero to put the earlv Christians to death. He will per-secute the saints and put them to death in the last clays (Rev.13 :7,1;,).

Chapter Twelve runs parallel with other chapters. On im-portant things the Lord goes back and relates it again inanother wav. This covers the same things as does the preced-ing chapters, but more. For instance, Joseph's dream was given twice. They wereone. In one he saw kine. In the next he saw corn. They meantthe same. In speaking of an important subject as being bornagain, Jesus said "Verily, verily".

For instance, the whole Gentile period is covered in thesecond chapter of Daniel. Then chapters 10,11, and 12 coverthe same period. They cover more details.

Objections ConsideredA few people offer objections when we say that the womanclothed with the sun is the church. Some even go so far as to

say that the woman is Mary. the mother of Jesus.Mary, the mother of Jesus, is included in the church, butto say that she is the woman is not stating all the truth.Mary was not chased into the wilderness as soon as Jesus wasborn. She moved to Egypt about eighteen months after Jesuswas born, but she stayed there a short while and returned. She lived for years around her home town.At the time Jesus was born the devil was yet in the heaven-lies. He is yet the prince of powers of the air, (Eph. 2 :2). Re-velation Twelve is speaking of the time that the devil willbe cast out or the earth, knowing that he only has a shorttime. In Revelation Twelve the devil only has three and one-halfyears. The reason the man child could not be Jesus is thatJesus lived here thirty-three years after He was born, but theman child was caught up to God as soon as He was born. Tosay that Jesus is the man child is not. all the truth. He ispart of the man child. He is the head of the' church. He ispart of the company.John sees the woman facing a dragon which had sevenheads and ten horns. The seven heads mean the seven worldmpires, Ten horns will be under the last empire. This wasnot in existence when Jesus was born. Therefore, Mary couldnot have bee II the woman (Rev. 17:17). There have been six

Israel and the ChurchIsrael and the New Testament church are related. In fact, the Gentiles were not admitted until about 51 A.D. (Acts

Chapter Ifi). Up until Acts, Chapter 10 the church consistedof all Jews. Paul decided to take the gospel to the Gentiles 54A.D. (Acts I x :6).

Head Romans 11 :~3-25 and you will see that the olive treeis a svrnbol of both the Old Testament and the New Testa-ment church.

"And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall begrafted in; for God is able to graft them in again. For if thouwere cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, andwere grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree; howmuch more shall these, which be the natural branche,s begrafted into their own olive tree 7"

All of the above scripture is not yet fulfilled .The word of God makes a list of the heroes of faith. Abra-

ham is the father of the faithful. He is in that list of faithheroes, Inspiration declares that they without us are not made

perfect. (Heb. 11 :39-40). We are Abraham's seed accordingto promise. The heroes of faith include both Jews and Gen-tiles. The Gentiles could be proselyted into the church in OldTestament times. Jews may accept Christ and become Chris-tians in our time. Many of them do. We are all one in ChristJesus (Gal. 3:2X).

There are vet ten lost tribes of Israel which will return. Many of them will accept Christ and be part of the church. Most people are looking for a national resurrection (Ezek. 37:l;)-~~). The ten tribes may be restored near the time of thesnatching awav. It looks like the Old Testament church andthe New Testament church will both be considered one greatbody (Rev. 11:1H).

All Christians are children of Abraham and are true Jews(Rom. 2 :2~-29). Jews outwardly are not Jews, but they arepart of the false church. They are in cooperation with thedragon.

Heavenly SignThe woman is a sigl1 in heaven (Rev. 12:1). Although the

church is on earth. yet she sits in heavenly places in ChristJesus (Eph, ~ : 6). There is now a conflict going on with Satan, for he is the power and the prince of the air (Eph. 2 :2).

The woman is clothed with the sun. She is a symbol ofChrist, for Christ is the sun of righteousness (Mal. 4 :2). Stillthe church is to be like Christ. The works that He did wemust do (John 14 :12). The church is to put on the armourof light and let her light shine before men.

The woman has the moon under her feel (Rev. 12:1). Themoon is a symbol of the powers of darkness. The word lunaticcomes from luna. Devil possessed people act upon the fullmoon. Jesus gives us power over all the powers of the enemy. We can tread Satan under our feet (Rom. 16 :20). We cantread upon serpents and scorpions (Luke 10:18-19).

The woman has twelve stars in her crown. The church 11 1the Old Testament times had twelve tribes. The church inNew Testament times had twelve apostles.

"And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his bre-thren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and,

    6

behold the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obei-sauce to me" (Gen. ~7:9). The twelve stars, the moon, andthe sun in Revelation Twelve all have a meaning. The twelvetribes all are included in the woman symbol. Of course, thetwelve apostles are also included in the complete church (Rev.21 :14). That they o f the Old and New Testament are com-bined is clearlv stated in Matthew 19 :2~: "And Jesus saidunto them, V~rily Isay unto you, That ye which have fol-lowed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sitin the throne of his glory, .ve also shall sit upon twelvethrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel!"

Travail ing WomanWe have already seen that the travailing woman represents

the church. We have already said that because she travailsdoes not prove that she is not a virgin. Mary travailed andshe was a virgin. The elect lady had children (II John 1). Weare commanded to travail so that spiritual children might beborn in the kingdom of God, (Gal. 4:19)."But Jerusalem, which is above, is free, which is the motherof LIS all" (Gal. 4 :26). "My little children, of whom I travailin birth again until Christ be formed in you" (Gal. 4:19).

The church is likened unto a travailing woman in manyplaces (Gal. 4 :27). Why think it strange that the woman inRevelation Twelve would also represent the church?

Jesus is likened to a bridegroom (Matt. 25: 1-6). Thechurch, a bride, who is likened to a wife (Rev. 19:7; Rev. 21:9) so is the church in the Old Testament. The child that is going to be born is a miracle child. He isgiving the woman pains now. The woman is restless. She mustgive birth to this man child very soon. What John saw in Hevelation Chapter Twelve was in thefuture (Rev. 4 :1-4). No doubt we will see this Chapter ful-filled completely in our generation. Head on. Watch and pray.

It is God that sets the apostles, prophets, pastors, evange-lists, and teachers in the Church (Eph, 4: 11). A pastor mustbe a God-called pastor, or he is not a pastor. A teacher mustbe a God-called teacher, or he is not a teacher. An evangelistmust be a God-called evangelist, or he is not an evangelist. It is .Jesus that gives these gifts and calling. These gifts andcalling are without repentance (Rom. 11:29). God neverwithdraws these call ings.

If you backslide and come back to the Lord you will havethe same job you left. It was true with Peter, Jonah, andeveryone that was ever called of the Lord.It is wonderful to vote in a pastor, if you get the right

one. It is great to vote in a teacher if you get the right one.It is great to call an evangelist if you get the right one. Itis all right to take in members if you get them that are saved.

A man walks in the door and says, "I am Pastor J." Yousay, "We are glad to see you Pastor J. Come to the front andlead us in prayer." A man walks into the door and says, "I amApostle M." You slip off in the corner and give him a coldshoulder. You whisper to someone and say, "That man is infalse doctrine. Stay away from him."Yet, we have just as much Scripture for voting in one aswe do for voting in the other. It is God that sets them in thechurch. Suppose they had voted on Moses. He would havebeen voted back into Egypt. Suppose they had voted onGideon. He would have lost. He never would havegone to battle. The people would have voted Paulout at one time (II Tim. 4:11). They would have voted Jesusout (John 6 :68). Matthias was voted in to be an apostle inJudas' place. He was set aside. We see no place where he wasused (Acts 1 :26). God set Paul in as an apostle (I Cor. 9:1).We see that God's approval was put on him. They knew hewas an apostle (II Cor. 12:12).

Members of ChristA man says he is going to open the doors of the church. He says he is going to take in members. Jesus says I-Ie is theDoor. If we come up any other way we are thieves and rob-bers (John 10:1). He says He is the Door. He shuts and no

    Chapter IIThe Mother of Harlots

Just as the true church is likened to a virtuous woman sothe false church is likened to an unfaithful woman.

"How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord God, seeing thoudoest all these things. the work of an imperious whorishwoman".The Lord did not say the unfaithful church is a woman, butHe used the word "as" a woman."But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh

strangers instead of her husband" (Ezek. 16 : 32).Any husband that is worth anything will be first or he will

not be. He will not count. himself a husband if another manis allowed to come into his wife's arms. The Lord feels thesame way. He is a jealous God. He will not allow any otherGod to be worshipped. Just as some women have no resistance.-;0 some churches yield to every kind of wordliness and followevery style of the devil that comes along.

When God's people turned against Him and went after theworld this is what He said to them, 'IWherefore, 0 harlot, hear the word of the Lord ... Iwill judge thee as a womanthat breaketh wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I willgive thee blood in my fury and jealously," (Ezek. 16 :35, 38).

One time the prophet Hosea married a wife that was un-faithful. The Lord told Hosea that he could understand howHe felt when his people were unfaithful to Him (Hosea 3:1-3). Itwould help you to understand how the Lord feels whenHis people are unfaithful if you will read the whole book ofHosea through without stopping.

True MembersThe Bible teaches us that God has set the members in His

Church as it has pleased Him (I Cor. 12 :28). Who set themembers in the church?9

rnan opens. He opens and no man shuts (Rev. 3:7). The wayyou get into the Church is to be born into it. The way you getout is to sin out.A man gets up and says that he is going to turn a man outof the church. Jesus says for us to let the wheat and taresgrow up together. If we try to root up the tares we mightroot up some of the wheat. Jesus will separate them at theend of the world (Matt. 13 :29).Everyone should have a home church. He is taken in as amember of a local congregation because he is already in thetrue Church. There is only one true church. That is Jesus'Church. All Christians are members of that Church. TheLord is the one that adds to the Church (Acts 2 :47). Thereare no hypocrites in that Church. If you want to get awayfrom the hypocrites, get in that Church by a spiritual birth. You can be born into the family of God. Otherwise you willnot be in heaven (John 3 :16).

A man starts a church. If God directs him to begin thatchurch he will look around and see that God has set helpersin that church. He will see that God has given him dea-cons, teachers, ushers, and even a janitor. They will be faith-ful for they are God called.

When we become a born again Christian we are membersof Christ. It is all right to become members of a local as-sernbly if we are already a member of Christ.

"For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body ...For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shallsay, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is ittherefore not of the body? ... But now are we many members, yet but one body ... Now ye are the body of Christ, and mem-bers in particular."Who puts the teachers in that body? Who puts the apostlesin that body? Who puts the pastors in that body?

"And God hath set some in the church, first apostles; secondprophets; third teachers; after that miracles, then gifts ofhealings, governments, and diversities of tongues," (I Cor. 12:'28).It is all right to vote in someone to speak with tongues if

vou vote in the one tha t Cod has l'hoseu. It is all righ t to~ote ill someone to interpret if you vote ill the one that Godhas chosen. It is all right to vote ill teachers and helpers ifyou get the right ones.

Members of HarlotsIf a member of Christ becomes a member of a (;od anointed

church which has the power of Cod and the g-ifts of theSpirit in it,everything will work in a wonderful way. If theyhappen to get into a church that does not have the signs fol-lowing, they must know that they are 1I0t true believers, ifthe signs are not following their ministry (Mark 16: lti-17).When God calls one to preach He puts His approval 011 himby letting the signs follow his ministry (Mark 16: 16-17 :Acts ~ :2~). If he does not have signs following his ministrvthen he has not waited 011 his ministry (Rom 12 :7). He hasrun ahead of the Lord (Acts 1:4; Matt. 2X:19-20).

Some were called; some were sent. Some just packed up and went.If \'OU are in a church that denies the power, Cod says for

vou t o depart from that church (11 Tim :3 :5). That is a com-rnandment. If you belong to a church that denies the powerof God, then you have become a member of a harlot. All"churches" that flirt with the world and put God second areharlots."Know ye not that your bodies al-e the members of Christ?Shall I then take the members of Christ. and make themthe members of an harlot '? GOD FO~tBID."What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlotis one bodv '? for two sa ith he. shall be one flesh.

"But he" t hat is joined to the Lord is one Spirit."Flee fornication. _ ." (I Cor 6: 15-18).FLEE FOl{NICATION. You are committing spiritual forni-

cation if you are supporting a "church" that denies the super-natural power of God and fights miracles. You must not bea fornicator. Speaking of the false church. God says. "Comeout of her my people".

If any man loves the world or anything that is in the world, the love of the Father is not in him (I John ~:1:). The

church is getting ':;0 worldly. and the world is getting sochurchy you can hardly tell them apart.

One time you asked it man if he were a Christian. Now youask him what church he belongs to. To look at people; totalk to them; to hear them talk, vou don't know if thev are aChristian or 1I0t. You have to lo~k on the church book. Thatkind of Christian is not a true Cnristian. He is a modernmember. He is a member of a harlot.

M ot her o f HarlotsSpeaking of the Roman church, God calls her the motherof harlots. She is predicting that all the prodigal daughters

will return and unite with the "mother church" She is soright. All the power is being centralized. When Iwas a boy WE

had a one-room school house for all classes to attend. Sincethen the schools have consolidated until they have greatschools in central location. Anyone would be ashamed to at-tend a one room school. People would make fun of them.Iremember when a small merchant had a chance. Now he

is pushed out of business by the large chain stores.Just as the schools. stores, unions. and factories have set

up large corporations so the goverument is being centralized. At one time the federal government did not have power to

raise taxes. Now our president has more power than a king.Anyone that even mentions States rights is laugh ed at. Thepower is being centralized. The United Nations is becominzstronger each year. Someday that power will supersede thepower of the federal government.

There will be a one world government. There have beensix world empires up until now. God says there will be onemore. The beast in Revelation Thirteen has seven heads. That means there will be seven world empires. We have hadsix. There will be one more (Rev. 17:10.)

One World ChurchToday there is a move in the world to outlaw the indepen-

dent church and make it illegal. All great powers are puttingthe pressure on the federal government to outlaw them. Thevsay all churches must be members of the one world church.

    ,I;

They think everyone is unbalanced that does not join theFederal Council of Churches. They try to keep them off theradios, televisions, and tell them where they can't buildchurches. The Council of Churches is now in conference withthe mother of harlots, trying to get every church in theworld to become members of the one world church. Thatwill be the church of the antichrist.

In Revelation Seventeen we see that the mother of harlotsis riding the beast with seven heads, the one world govern-ment. She will make a league with the world government, theantichrist power. She will take in every false church underthe sun. They will all unite against the true saints of God.

An angel told John, "I will show unto thee the judgmentof the great whore, that sitteth upon many waters: Withwhom the kings of the earth have committed fornication(spiritual fornication) ... Isaw a woman sit upon a scarletcolored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven headsand ten horns" Her name is MYSTERY, BABYLON THEGREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINA-TIONS OF THE EARTH"

She is drunken on the blood of the saints and martyrs. The whore sitteth on many waters (Rev. 17:1). The watersmean peoples and multitudes, and nations, and tongues(Verse 15). The woman is that Babylon that reigns over the

kings of the earth. She is the false church that now joinshands with the government to reach out its powerful handsof control over all the peoples of the earth.

Some people say that the woman is the Roman church. That is only part of the truth. She does not includethe Roman church, but she includes all the falsechurches of the world. Just as we are members of Christ, the imitation Christians are members of harlots. All the har-lots will unite with the mother of harlots from which theysprang.

Read Revelation Eighteen and you will see that God willjudge that wicked woman, after she puts to death the Chris-tians. She has committed fornication. She is called a queen, but she is a widow.

Her judgment comes in one hour. She will be burned withfire.God is crying to you now, "Come out of her, my people,

that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive notof her plagues".

ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and thewhore" (isa. 57:3). Speaking of the present day false churchHe says, "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not thatthe friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoevertherefore shall be a friend of the world is the enemy of God"(James 4:4). Keep the world out of the church.Seven Last Plagues

Everyone that is connected with any kind of false religionwill be in the false church. They will be partakers of theplagues. They will have blood to drink. All the waters willturn to blood. Hail will fall the weight of a talent. The sunwill scorch men with fire. People will gnaw their tongues forpain. Grievous sores will break out on men. They will be tor-mented. Locust will sting them. They will hurt like they aredying for five months. Death will flee from them (Revela-tion chapters 15, and 16).The members of the false church will go through the great

tribulation and partake of the plagues. Members of the truechurch will be chased into the wilderness. They will be mar-tyred for the name of Jesus (Rev. 13:7, 15).In the last days there will be seven women take hold of one

man. They will say that they will wear their own clothes andmake their own living, but they will want to be called by hisname to take away their reproach, (Isa. 4 :1). Some people-say that has a literal meaning. They say it means that therewill be more women in these last days than men. Some peoplethink it means that the harlot churches will want to use thename of Christ to take away their shame. They want to dresslike the world, look like the world, smell like the world, act likelike the world, walk like the world, talk like the world. Theywant to put the name of Christ in front of their churchhouses and let their illigitimate children have a name.Which group is right? What does the Scripture mean?

the city seven times on the seventh day. People bowed seventimes. The blood was sprinkled seven times on the altar. Theoil was sprinkled seven times. They sprinkled the house seventimes. Mi,riam was shut out of the camp seven days, Elijah'sservant went seven times to see if there was rain. Thechild that was raised from the dead sneezed seven times.David praised the Lord seven times each day. The furnacewas heated seven times hotter than usual.

Cain was avenged seven times. David was the seventh sonin his family. There was a seventh captain appointed for theseventh month. The fever left the Nobleman's son the seventh hour. Jesus

fed the multitude with seven loaves. There were seven bas-ketfulls left.Holy Sabbaths

The Lord did not only tell His people to rest each seventhday, but there was something holy about each seventh week, seventh month, and seventh year. The Children of Israel had their holy days the seventh

month. They fasted in the seventh month."Speak unto the children of Israel saying, "In the seventhmonth, in the seventh day of the month, shall ye have a sab-bath, a memorial of blowing of trump ets, an holy convoca-tion" (Lev. 23 :24).

We have many places in the Scripture which tell us thatthe seventh year had a real meaning to God's people."But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto theland, a sabbath for the Lord, thou shall neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard" (Lev. 25 :4).The people did not always observe these sabbaths. So they

were sold into slavery to pay for the time they did not ob-serve the sabbaths. Each seventh sabbath was also a sabbath, whether it wasdays, weeks, months, or years. After each "seven times seven"

years there was a year of Jubilee. People let their land restand all the slaves went free. As the Lord gave the peopleenough manna on the sixth day to last them over the sab-bath, so He gave them a bumper crop on the sixth year tolast the seventh year.

In order for us to understand more about the man child weshould look into the scripture and see that the time, "three andone-half years;' has an important meaning. We see that theman child was caught up to God and to His throne three andone-half years before the end. The three and one half years isone-half of a certain seven year period.

The Lord worked six days and on the seventh He finishedHis work and rested. He told men to rest each seventh day.Man is so made that he must rest one day in seven. The Rus-sians tried each sixth day. Then they tried each eighth day. Then they went back to the seventh. They find that it is bet-ter for their bodies, machinery, and the whole economy.Seven was a sacred number among the Jews, also indicatingperfection, or completion. Itwas used very often in a symbo-lic manner for the whole of a thing. The number seven en-tered very largely into the religious life and observances ofthe Jews.

Several times in the Scripture we see that the Lord hadthe people to observe a sabbath of weeks, or each seventhweek.Sacred NumberSeven oxen were laid upon the seven altars. The enemywas chased out seven directions. Seven lambs were laid uponseven altars. Seven priests carried seven trump ets. The

promised land was divided into seven parts. Samson's powerwas in seven locks. The temple was seven years being built. The bullocks were seven years old they laid on the altarThere were seven steps up to Ezekiel's temple. The doors onit were seven cubits wide. In the temple there were sevenlamps and seven pipes. .

On the year of Jubilee all the slaves went free. All thedebts were canceled. Every man went back to .his own posses-sions. There was no work done. (See Leviticus chapter 25.)The priest's fingers were dipped in the oil seven times. The

house was shut up seven days until it was sanctified. Thehouse was sprinkled seven times. The offerings lasted forseven days. The feast of tabernacles lasted seven days. Ba-laam had seven altars built. Seven priests marched beforethe ark. Saul was to tarry seven days for Samuel. The Jewsfasted seven days. The people walked into the temple ingroups of seven. Seven thousand men were reserved besideElijah. There were seven men full of the Holy Ghost to look af-ter the food for the widows. God destroyed seven nations inthe land of Canaan. There were seven pillars to the house ofwisdom. The passover lasted seven days. In the seventh dayof the seventh month they began a seven day feast. They of-fered seven bullocks on the seventh day.

Seventh DayA thousand years is one day with the Lord. One day is a

thousand years. (2 Peter 3 :8) When it gets into thousands ofyears the Lord still divides our time by sevens. The first two days were up to Noah's flood. The next two

days were up until the birth of Christ. The next two days willbe up until the return of Christ. There has already been al-most six thousand years. The Bible says the time will be cutshort for the elect's sake. The seventh day, or the seventh thousand years, will be a

thousand years of rest. The devil will be bound. We will ruleand reign with Christ for a thousand years. There will benothing to hurt or to destroy in all of God's Holy Mount. Thelamb will lie down with the lion. A little child shall lead them. The curse will be lifted from the earth during this sevenththousand years.

famine in Joseph's time. Seven kine and seven ears of cornsignified it. Job laid on the ground seven days and sevennights when his seven sons died. Nebuchadnezar took Judahcaptive seven months. Cain was punished sevenfold. Hanan-iah died in the seventh month after Jeremiah pronouncedjudgment on him. Itwill take seven months to bury the deadin the time of Jacob's trouble. There will be seven women leftto one man. The Lord will punish the people seven times. Themother of harlots sits on seven mountains. In Revelation, in the time of Jacob's trouble, there are

seven angels, with seven vials, seven trumphets, seven seals, pouring out the seven last plagues on the beast with sevenheads, seven crowns, and seven horns. Seven Kings are overseven world empires. There will be seven woes, and seventhunders.

JudgmentsMiriam was shut out of the camp seven days. Noah

marched seven of each clean animal into the ark. He was thereseven days before it started to rain. The ark rested on amountain in the seventh month. There were seven years of

Time of Jacob's TroubleJacob worked for his wife seven years. For seven years he

had trouble with his father-in-law.There is a time in prophecy that is called a time of "Ja-

cob's trouble"."And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince

which standeth up for the children of thy people: and thereshall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there wasa nation even to that time."Speaking of the time of trouble in the last days the Lord

told us what would take place. "For thus saith the Lord: WEHAVE HEARD A VOICE of trembling, of fear, and not ofpeace. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail withchild? Wherefore do I see every man with his hands on hisloins, .is a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into pal-ness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it, eventhe time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it".(Jer. 30:6-8)."For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against

kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in divers places andthere shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings ofsorrows".In time of this prophecy there were seven churches with

seven golden candlesticks. There were seven churches. ALamb had seven horns and seven eyes in which were the seven.spirits of God (Rev. 5:6).There will be tribulations worse than the world has ever

known. If it were not for the elect's sake there will be no fleshsaved. For the elect's sake the time will be shortened. Here is what the angel told Daniel: "Seventy weeks are de-

termined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish thetransgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make re-conciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteous-ness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anointthe most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that fromthe going forth of the commandment to restore and to buildJerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks ,and threescore and two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescoreand two weeks shall the Messiah be cut off, but not for him-self: and the people of the prince that shall come shall des-troy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall bewith a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are de-termined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many forone week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause thesacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreadingof abominations he shall make desolate, even until the con-summation, and that determined shall be poured upon thedesolate" (Dan. 9 :24-37).What does this say? Until the Messiah was crucified there

had been sixty-nine weeks of years. That figures out exactlyfrom the going forth to the building of Jerusalem. But thereis to be one more week of years, or seven years, after the an-tichrist makes a covenant with the Jews. That is Jacob'strouble, or seven years of tribualtion days at the end time. That is the time of Jacob's trouble, or the seven years thatthe wrath of God will be poured out on the earth. The Jews were blind. They claimed that they believed in

the Holy Scriptures. Jesus told them concerning these Scrip-tures, "These are they which do testify of me (John 5:39).

Prophecy told them that there would be sixty-nine weeksuntil Messiah would be cut off.Sixty-nine weeks of years were four hundred and eighty

three years. Sixty-nine weeks after the command to rebuildJerusalem, Jesus was crucified. Then there will be the seventhweek, or seven years, left until the end,I saw a freight train one day. It side-tracked on a switch.

I wondered why it side-tracked. Then I saw a special passen-ger train come through. After the passenger train came bythe freight train rolled back on the main line and resumed itsjourney. Both of them were traveling at the same time then. The passenger train was ahead.Four hundred and eighty-three years after Ezr-a went to

rebuild Jerusalem the Jews were side tracked. The churchcame through, the Holy Ghost special. As it passed on - the Jews will get on the main line again

(Rom. Chapter 9). Daniel was writing to his own people whenhe told them there would be sixty-nine weeks, plus one week.He did not see the church period, as it did not concern thesubject.

Three and One Half YearsThe last half of this seven years of tribulation is to be the

Great Tribulation, when the wrath of God is poured withoutmixture. It is poured out) mixed with mercy, up until the lasthalf of the seven years. This three and one half years isspoken of as times times and dividing of times. It is spokenof as forty-two months. It is known as twelve hundred andninety days.Under the inspiration of the Spirit; James told how the

cries of the poor will enter into the ears of the Lord in thelast days. He will hear their cries and come to reap the har-vest of the earth. The people will be oppressed to the pointthat they will cry out to the Lord as the Children of Israelcried unto God when Pharaoh oppressed them. He will sendthe "prophet like unto Moses" (Deut. 18:15).God tells us to be patient until He receives the early and

the latter rain. Speaking of that awful time He says: "Takemy brethren, the prophets who have spoken in the name of

the Lord, for an example of suffering affiication, and of pa-tience. He, no doubt was thinking of Job, Stephen, James,Daniel and many more that suffered afflictions for the nameof the Lord. Next, in the same chapter, he says, "Elias wasa man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed ear-nestly that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earthby the space of three years and six months" (James 5:17).Read the story of Elijah and you will see that there were

three and one-half years of drought. The nations of the earthwere seeking his life. God fed him supernaturally in the wild-erness for three and one-half ye31rs. It is during three andone-half years that the woman, a company of people thattestifies to Jesus Christ, will be chased out into the wilder-ness. God will provide for them for three and one-half years. They can't buy or sell unless they line up with the antichristchurch and the dragon. They will not receive a ration bookif they hold to their testimony of Jesus Christ. We are men oflike passions as Elijah.Speaking of the antichrist in the seventh chapter of Daniel

we see that he will prevail against the saints that will be lefthere at that time. He shall devour the whole earth, tread itdown and break it into pieces. He will speak against the MostHigh. He will wear out the saints of the Most High (destroythem). They will be given into his hands for "a time andtimes and dividing of times" (Dan. 7:25). That is the samethree and one-half years as the other scriptures speak of.It is the last half of Jacob's trouble, or the last half of theseventh week. It is the last half of the seven years of troublethat will come on this earth. This period is so important that it is explained to Daniel

in the ninth chapter. Gabriel came with a message fromGod. Daniel was told about the seventy weeks. He is told thisabout the antichrist:" ... and the end thereof shall be with a flood" (Dan. 9:26).

No doubt this is the same flood that the antichrist uses tochase the woman into the wilderness in Revelation Twelve. What kind of flood is it? The rest of the verse is, "and untothe end of the WAR desolations are determined"

Jesus speaks of this when He speaks of the tribulationsthat shall come worse then the world has ever known (Matt.24:15).Daniel continues, "And He shall confirm the covenant with

many for one week (seven years): and in THE MIDST OFTHE WEEK He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation tocease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shallmake it desolate ... " (Dan. 9:27).He is speaking of the same time in Daniel Twelve when he

says that there will be a time of trouble," such as never wassince there was a nation even to that same time."How important is this time?" And I heard the man clothed

in linen ... when he held up his right hand and his left handunto heaven, and sware by him that liveth forever that itshall be for a time, times, and a half ... " (Dan. 12 :7). Theseare the same three and one-half years. It is still speaking ofthe antichrist. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken

away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up,thereshall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. The samethree and one half years (Dan. 12:4). Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried (Verse 10).Why will the people be chased out into the wilderness, per-

secuted and finally put to death? (Rev. 13:7, 15). They failedto be overcomers. They failed to put on the wedding garment. They failed to have their vessels full of oil. They failed topray always that they might be counted worthy to escape thethings to come on the world. They failed to look for the Lordand be caught up to meet Him. They will be left here to bepurified, by being chased into the wilderness and persecuted,by giving their life for their testimony (Rev. 6:11).The seventh week (the last seven years of this dispensa-tion) is about ready to begin. The covenant with the Jewsmay take place any time (secretly or openly). This sevenyears is the time of Jacob's trouble. In the middle of the week something is going to take

place. The woman will be chased out into the wilderness. Theman child will be caught up to God.

    Chapter IVTHE MAN CHILD

down the holy city "forty and two months", three and (,ilt!half years (Rev. 11 :2).The two witnesses will preach for three and one-half years."And Iwill give power unto my two witnesses, and they

shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days"(Rev. 11:3).They will be clothed in sackcloth. Fire comes out of their

mouth' and destroys the ones that try to hurt them. If anv-one tries to kill them, they will be killed in the same manner. They will shut up heaven that there will be no rain duringthese three and one half years ([{ev. 11 :6). Thev will havethe Elijah ministry. He shut lip heaven that there was notrain for three and one-half years. The two witnesses will turnthe water to blood anytime they choose, during this three andone-half years. They can smite the earth with plagues. At the last of the three and one-half years the two witnes-

ses will be killed. They will lie in the streets of Jerusalem furthree and one-half days. They will ascend to heaven as thepeople look on. AT THIS TIME Jesus will set up His thousandyear reign (Rev. 11 :15). This is at the end of the three andone-half years of Great Tribulation. That is at the end of theGentile supremacy. The "Stone cut out of the mountain" willcrush down the ten kingdoms.

If the woman is a company of people that keep the com-mandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ thenher offspring is a company of people that keep the command-ments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ."And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went tomake war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the com-mandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ"(Rev. 12:17).Some people object to this, because they have been taught

that there will be no saints at all here during the three andone half years that the antichrist is in charge, or the timethe wrath of God is poured out without mixture. If you will read Revelation Thirteen you will see that the

beast will put the saints to death during this three and onehalf years." ... and power was given unto him to continue forty and

two months ... And it was given to him to make war withthe saints, and to overcome them ... and cause that as manyas would not worship the image of the beast should be killed(Rev. 13: 5,7,15).Some people tell their congregation that all members will

be caught away before the tribulation days. The two wit-nesses will prophesy right up to the last of the tribulationdays. If the Holy Spirit was caught away, as some peopleteach, how could the two witnesses prophesy? Some say that the, two witnesses are two companies ofpeople say they are two men. In either case they willbe working miracles and prophesying. The abomination that maketh desolate will be set up in

Jerusalem at the middle of the week, at the beginning of thelast three and one half years. The Gentiles (the last worldempire - the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar's image) will trod

Resurrection Gleaning'sA harvest has three parts, first fruits, main harvest. and

the gleanings. The resurrection has first fruits, main harvest.and the gleanings. The first fruits are the people that resurrected when Jesus

arose (Matt. 27 :52). The main harvest will be when the over-comers will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, at thebeginning of the three and one-half years. The gleanings willbe when the two witnesses are resurrected. The saints thatare martyred during the three and one-half years will be re-surrected at that time.Just as the people saw the first fruit that came out of

their graves so the people will see the ones that are resur-rected during the gleanings (Rev. 11:12).

The Main HarvestThe main resurrection of the righteous dead will be at themiddle of the week, at the beginning of the three and one-half years."For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a

shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump ofGod: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we whichare alive and remain shall be caught up together with themin the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall weever be with the Lord. Wherefore COMFORT one anotherwith these words" (IThes. 4:16-18).

If you tell me that Imust stay here during the seven woesthat are to be poured out on the earth, that would not bemuch comfort to me. If you want to comfort a dear saint donot tell him that he is appointed to wrath. Tell him that hecan be an overcomer and be caught up to meet the Lord inthe air. Don't tell him that he will be left here and have hishead cut off. That is no comfort. Some carnal people do not like for us to tell them that theymust be an overcomer, and be among the very elect, if theywant to go to heaven without dying. It takes more to go toheaven without dying than it does to die to get there.

The people all through the Old Testament period werelooking for a man child to be born to them. A man child hasalways been a choice child. If you want to be in the man childcompany and be caught up alive to meet the Lord, then youmust have on the whole armour of God.

They will be left here to be under the beast rule. They willbe persecuted. That is the only way they will be purified andmade white (Dan. 12 :10. Dan. 11 :35). But there are somepeople that are looking for the Lord. Jesus will come andsnatch them away that are without spot or blemish (Eph.5 :27).The gl'OUP that is left here is the "remnant." They willhave to overcome the beast by the blood of the lamb and bythe word of their testimony (Rev. 12:11). They will seal theirtestimony with their own blood (Rev. 13:7).

Many MartyrsThere have been many martyrs in the last thousands ofyears, but they must wait for the martyrs during the threeand one-half years, the last part of the seventh week. Thosewho have been 'cilled for their testimony are under the altar

crying for their blood to be avenged on the antichrist groupduring the last three and one-half years."And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, 0Lord, holy and true, doest thou not judge and avenge ourblood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robeswere given unto everyone of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as theywere, should be fulfilled" (Rev. 6 :10-11).You will notice that the next verse goes right into thetime that the moon is turned into blood and the sun is turnedinto darkness. Every mountain flees away and the islandscannot be found. That is ill the very last part of the three andone-half years. Ihope that Iam in the man child group whichwill be with the Lord in the air at that time. We must com-fort one another with these words. That is a great comfort tome.

OvercomersSome have said that Jesus is the man child, but Jesus wasnot caught up as soon as He was born. He will rule the nationswith a rod of iron. So shall the overcomers (Rev.2 :27).Jesus was an overcomer. So are we. Since Jesus is an over-comer He is part of the man child company.

"To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in mythrone, even as J overcame, and am set down with my Fatheron His throne" (Rev. 3 :21).Some people are overcomers and will receive a special re-

ward (Rev. 3 : 21). Others will fail to overcome some things.

The Midnight HourTalking- about the snatching away Jesus said, "Then shallthe kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virg-ins, which tooktheir lamps, and went to meet the brideg-room." (Matt. 25:1)"And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bride-

groom cometh; go ye out to meet him."26

If we read on here we see that the wise virgins are lookingfor the bridegroom. They have their vessels full of oil. Thefoolish virgins did have their vessels full, but they had neg-lected to get a refilling. They were left here. While they wentto get a refilling the bridegroom came. The wise virgins goto the marriage supper. What time is it? We have been living at the end of thesixth day a long time (sixth thousand years). Between thesixth and seventh day there will be a great night time. Sevenyears of Jacob's trouble. At the middle of this great time(at midnight) the cry will be made. The bridegroom willcome and catch us up to the marriage supper if we are with-out a spot or blemish. It was at midnight that Moses (a prophet like unto Moses)is coming to carry us to the marriage supper in the air. Wewill sing the song of Moses and the Lamb (Rev. 15:3).

At midnight Ruth went to the feet of Boaz. He took untohimself a Gentile bride. At midnight Jesus will come andsnatch away a Gentile bride. At midnight Paul and Silas begin to sing praises unto God.The doors were opened. There was a great deliverance. Jesussaid when we see all these things BEGIN to come to pass forus to lift LI P our heads and rejoice. Our redemption drawethnigh (Luke 21:28).

Jesus is coming for them that look for Him. If we arereally looking for Him we will be ready. We will go back withHim. If we are not looking for Him we will not look up andrejoice. Wt may be left here in the woman group to be chasedout into the wilderness.

The foolish virgins, no doubt, represent the Fundamentaldenominations that are contented with their normal churchservices. Nowhere in the Bible do we find that Jesus is comingback for all the members of the organized church. He is com-ing for overcomers. There is a vast difference in those thatare watching for Him, and keeping their vessels full, and theythat are Sunday Christians, those that are interested inworldly pleasure, and have neglected their prayer life.

At midnight the man child company will be caught up.

The Snatching AwayThe snatching away is a different time to His revelation. One time He comes as a thief (Rev. 16:15; Matt. 24:37-44).At the end of the Great Tribulation years He comes andtouches the earth. Every eye shall see Him (Rev. 1:7; Zech.

14:4).There is a difference in the mere professor and those that

are full of the Holy Ghost. If the Spirit that raised up Jesusfrom the dead dwell in us, He shall quicken our mortal bodyby the Spirit that dwell in us (Rom. R:ll). If we are not fullof the Holy Ghost the Spirit does not dwell in us (JohnJ4:17).

We must pray always that we might be counted worthy toescape these things that are coming on the earth. If we couldnot escape them Jesus certainly would not mock us by tellingus that we can (Luke 21 :36). If you could escape thesethings that are coming on the earth by just going to churchonce each week, and looking at television the rest of the time,God certainly would not have told us that we must pray al-ways. I-Ie said we must assemble ourselves together muchmore as we see the day approaching (Heb. 10 :25). If thiswas not necessary God would not put that in the Bible onlyto fill space. At the time of the snatching away the foolish virgins arenot the elect. When they go back and get their vessels fullthen they become the elect. God elects them later. The onesthat are neglecting their salvation are not in the elect. Theywill not escape (Heb, 2 :1-4).

For the elect's sake the time will be shortened. That showsthat God wants us to be overcomers and escape these thingsthat are coming on the world. The Whole ArmourThe Lord tells us to take the whole armour of God that wecan escape this power of the devil (Eph. 6: 13). If we couldescape without the whole armour He would not mock us bytelling us that. Who can say that the member that neglectsthe great salvation, and neglects getting filled with the HolySpirit, has the whole armour of God?

Itis death to the carnal man for us to say that God willmake a difference in those who have on the whole armour andthe lazy professor who can never be caught on the job; theones that run to get a milkshake instead of going to theprayer room and praying others through to the Holy Ghost. They are not looking for Jesus to come, or they would be try-ing to get others ready. They cannot help others any furtheralong than they are themselves.

We are not appointed to wrath (I Thes 5 :9). If you arehere when the wrath of God is poured out that is not becauseGod appointed you. Itis because you neglected the great sal-vation, with gifts of the Holy Ghost.

Just b~cause Enoch was caught up without dying did notmean that his wife and children did not go to heaven by theway of the grave. God made a difference. Just because Elijahwent up without dying does not mean that the seven thou-sand reserved in the wilderness, did not go to heaven by theway of the grave. If you want to, you can be in the man child company, andbe caught up.

gospel without fear or favor. They preach holiness and sep-aration from the world. They are the sons of God. They dothe works of Jesus (John 14 :12). As He is so are we in thisworld (I John 4 :17). As God has sent Jesus so He has sent us(John 20: ) We are to take up the works that He left off. Weare to follow the example that He set before us. We are torule and reign with Him.

The Man ChildThe church is likened to many things. In one place it iscompared to a building (Eph. 2 :21). In another place it islikened to a full-grown man (Eph. 4 :13). Then it is like thebody of Christ (1 Cor. 12). We see it as a bride, (Rev. 21 :2)a virgin) (II Cor. 11 :2) I a wife, (Rev. 19 :7); also a temple(Eph, 2:21); then a nation} (I Peter 2:9),lively stones, spiri-tual house, priesthood; (I Peter 2 :5) ; husbandry (I Cor. 3 :9)The offspring of the woman is likened to a man child (Rev.12 :5) The elect group is to be holy, without blemish (Eph.5 :27) Weare to present our body as a living sacrifice andmake ourselves ready. As the espoused virgin we are to haveon the wedding garment (Matt. 22:3-12).The man child group is a choice group, a special people. These will be a people that contend for the faith that wasonce given to the saints. This a group that coveted earnestlythe best gift. This is the group that would not bow, bend, orburn. These people would not compromise. They preach the

Woman in the Wilderness ,She has been in the heavenlies. She is not there any longer.

She IS an earthly woman now. The earth helped her. Themoon is no longer under her feet after Satan is cast down tothe earth. She is running from Satan. She is no longer clothedwith the sun after she brings forth the man child. She is inthe wilderness for the three and' one-half years.

Before the woman brings forth the man child Satan is ir,the heaven lies. Now he is cast to earth with ALL his angels. There is a "woe, woe, woe" pronounced on all who are lefthere. Read about these woes in Revelation Fifteen and Six.teen and see if anyone can stand these woes and remain alive. This "remnant" will be beheaded for their testimony. (Rev.12:11). These people will be persecuted by Satan. He will bedown here with them (Rev. 12:13).

Satan will be cast down to earth having great wrath. Heknows that he will only have a short time.

Some people will go to heaven by being snatched up. Somewill go by sealing their testimony with their own blood. The woman is in great pangs now. She is in travail. She is

miserable. She does not seem to understand that such a super-natural child is about to be born.
