Most are Subsistent Farmers, Trying to Grow Enough to Live on
They Live on a Simple Diet of Cornmeal or Manioc Mush and Sometimes Fish or Chicken
Life Expectancy is Less then 40
Lack of Clean Water is One of the Causes of Sickness Among the Makua People
At Any Given Time, Almost Half of the People in Developing Countries Suffer from Water Related Diseases (WHO)
The Rural People get their Water From Wherever They Find it.
All Water Sources Must be Within Walking Distance
The Wells That Have Been Provided are too Few and Too Distant For Most
