2019 Diocesan Annual Campaign (DAC)

As of May 7, 2019, Our Parish has collected $47,615 of our diocesan established goal of $106,400. A shortfall of $58785. This represents 191 gifts from 161 donors, representing 44.75%, with 955 registered families. In the coming weeks, a letter will be sent to all registered families who have not yet made a pledge or donation. Diocesan rules dictate that any shortfalls for the DAC be made up by the parish. You may place your donation/pledge in the collection basket at mass, mail it to the parish office or Diocese, or go directly on the diocesan website at www.hbgdiocese.org

(click “giving”, then click “diocesan annual campaign”). We all know the many issues our diocese has experienced over the past year, all we can ask is that you prayerfully consider this request and say thank you for the MANY things you all do for our church and parish!

Guest Homilist, Rev. William M. Weary, Pastor

Sacred Heart Parish, Lewistown, PA

Plan on attending all three evenings. Our homilist will be Father William Weary who coincidentally will celebrate 35 years in the Priesthood on this Sunday, May 19th! Father has been the Pastor at Sacred Heart Parish for 7 years. His evening presentations will feature the theme of CHARITY, CHASTITY and the CHURCH. We hope you will join us for this very special event. The Blessed Sacrament will remain exposed in our main Church for your personal visits as follows:

Sunday – Noon to 7:00 pm Devotions Monday – 9am to 7:00 pm Devotions

Tuesday – 9am to 7:00 pm Closing Devotions The Blessed Sacrament must not be left alone. We had a great response for coverage last week so it appears that all times will be covered. Do not let this deter your visit with Jesus. Stop by and visit with our Lord during this very special time in our parish at ANY TIME during our adoration. Jesus ALWAYS makes the time for you!

Do you play GUITAR? PIANO? DRUMS? TAMBOURINE?

We are seeking all types of musicians

for a LifeTeen Mass! All ages welcome.

First Mass will be held on Sunday, June

16th at 11:00 am. Please text Shannon at

717-519-9621 for more information or

email at [email protected]

The Bereavement Ministry Team is in need of servers for funeral Masses. The servers act as altar servers assisting the Priest with the Mass.

We will be having a training for all those interested, as well as a “refresher “ for those who have been gracious enough to have helped in the past. If interested, please call Amie Barone at 717-367-9761. Most funerals are held during the daytime, so this is a perfect opportunity for those who are retired or have work flexible schedules. A training date will be set once we have a group of interested individuals. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
