Visiongain: Please give us a little background about Telit Wireless and your M2M related product/service offerings.
Alexander Bufalino: Telit has over 12 years of experience exclusively in the M2M market. Telit
drives technology innovation from seven R&D centers around the globe and is propelling M2M
technology into main-stream adoption. Major breakthroughs in the M2M space include the ball-
grid-array (BGA) module in the mid-00s, the “Family” and “Unified-Form-Factor” concepts which
ensures compatibility sideways across different cellular technologies(from GSM to HSDPA, from
the IS-95A/B to CDMA 2000 1x) and backwards over different product generations; and the
smallest and most sensitive GPS receiver module in the market.
Telit offers an extensive portfolio of the cellular, short-range, and positioning - global navigation
satellite system (GNSS) modules, available in over 80 countries. Telit wireless products are highly
business scalable and interchangeable across families, technologies, and generations so that
customers can keep development costs low and benefit from sturdy protection of their design
investments.
Telit’s business unit “m2mAIR” offers a suite of value-added services, including mobile
connectivity, Platform as a Service (PaaS) based application enablement and cloud back-end
integration services which are designed to streamline the deployment of M2M applications.
m2mAIR confirms Telit’s commitment to making it easy for M2M to enable the broadest possible
range of applications. We use Software as a Service (SaaS) models to deliver value added
services and solutions on the mobile network side of device connectivity focusing on superior
performance, redundancy, and network coverage. On the Internet side we deploy a secure, end-to-
end platform to enable configuration and deployment of enterprise-grade M2M applications without
any programming – enabling intelligence in no time.
