Junior Lyceum hosts about 1400 students. The students enter the lyceum after that

they pass from a ‘Junior Lycuem’ entry exam. The ages of the students that

frequent this school is between 11 and 16years.

Students between 11 and 12 years old are in form 1 classes. There are about

11 form 1 classes. Students at this level study

Maltese, English, (another foreign language that they choose e.g. Italian,

French, Spanish, German, Arabic)Maths

Science, Geography, History, Social Studies

Physical Education,Personal and Social Development,

ReligionArt / Music

Computer studies

Students aged between 12 and 13 are in form 2 level. There are about 11 form 2 classes. Students continue studying the same subjects

as form 1.

A year later, students enter the form 3 level when they choose

to learnBiology / Chemistry / Art / ICT / Geography / History / Graphical

Communications / Home Economics etc. . .

And / or another language (Italian, French, Spanish,

German, Arabic)

The students continue studyingMaltese, English,

After this year, students proceed to form 4 and 5 and they continue studying the subjects that they

chose at form 3.
