Titian features spectacular, original and lovingly restored colourful wooden beams, Renaissance Venetian marble mosaic flooring, and a double height ceiling denoting its past when the rooms were on the Piano Nobile. The bespoke art installation was inspired by the famous Dome of Saint Mark’s Basilica. Its design was commissioned to capture the colours, cheer and vibrance of the festive celebrations of the carnival of Venice with miniature masks sprinkled throughout the sculpture. The golden winged lion, the symbol of San Marco, represents the glorious past of Venice, the queen of the seas and of commerce. The elaborate filigree design of this specially commissioned piece of art, placed at the gates of the property, is inspired by Venetian lace and silk brocades found in the old Palazzi and Museums. GOLDEN PAST PASSIONATE PRESENT Venice, the “floating city”, was built on top of wooden platforms, supported by wooden stakes which were drilled into the ground. These same stakes have been used in this installation, now supporting Venice’s lions, and the 18 fish, each one representing the 18 historical rooms of Palazzo Venart. SUITES DANDOLO Enrico Dandolo was the 42nd Doge of Venice. During his administration, he reformed the Venetian monetary system so Venice would no longer be dependent on the Byzantine currency. SUITES LORD BYRON Lord George Gordon Byron was one of the greatest of British poets and a leading figure in the Romantic Movement. Located above the peaceful gardens, it features a generously proportioned separate lounge area with romantic views of the Grand Canal through the original arched windows. SUITES CHRISTINE DE PIZAN Venice produced the first famous female author in the world, Christine de Pizan, in the 2nd half of the 14th Century. Palazzo Venart celebrates this iconic figure naming this waterfront suite after her works. LUXURY ROOM SAN MARCO LUXURY ROOM SILK ROAD Lots of eastern goods from the Silk Road ended up in the markets of the Rialto Bridge around the time Venice became a commercial powerhouse at the start of the early Renaissance period. THE LOBBY e wood and gold-leaf ceilings have been meticulously restored to their original glory, along with the Venetian terrazzo floorsand the sumptuous silk walls. Palazzo Venart opened its doors in Sept 2016 and celebrates the rich history of Venice, with its historical setting on the Grand Canal. Once known as the Palazzo Bacchini delle Palme, it still is a true Palazzo, celebrating the building’s past and glamorous history, with exquisite period features, art and interiors. The Dandolo Suite is a beautiful luxury suite, appointed with wooden parquet flooring and a generously appointed lounge area. It offers a picturesque and romantic view overlooking the Grand Canal, and a separate office. THE GLAM RESTAURANT & BAR e Tibetan welcome wish: “Ja Shi Delek Pun Sum Tsok”, wishing good auspices, happiness, gratification, and prosperity to all visitors and those in the house. Through the wrought iron gates of Palazzo Venart, sits a private leafy, and discreet courtyard with magnolia trees filtering the Venetian sun. The latest creation of the youngest Italian 2 Michelin starred chef Enrico Bartolini, is set within this romantic enclave. This is where he has created one of his GLAM restaurants, and this is his first in the Serenissima, where he can host up to 40 guests indoors or al fresco in the courtyard. San Marco, or St. Mark, was the second parton of Venice, and was one of the four evangelists of the Christian faith. This luxurious room has been named after this eminent figure of Venetian history.
